Fairly good food, not outstanding. Their tortillas are made in-house and are good. The beans, rice, and fajitas are not bad, just par for the course for San Antonio Mexican restaurants. Their service today was a little off. They didn't have someone handing out cutlery, cups of salsa, napkins, etc. and they had a lot of folks waiting for those clearly in view of the staff. They had a lot of cooks but nobody on the salsas until I asked if they were going to hand them out (due to COVID-19 they wall off these items behind plexiglass and someone is supposed to hand them to you so people don't serve themselves to prevent spread of the virus). I ordered the large menudo today and it was fairly good. It was meaty and the portion is a good size. For $10.24 ($11.08 after tax) it's a fair value. It had a huge bone that could have been taken out. I know it adds flavor but it could have been taken out after cooking. For atmosphere they have multiple TVs playing sports. There's usually no background music, just some background noise. There's plenty of parking because it sits in a shopping strip. I've been going there regularly and the quality of the food is consistent. The orders are churned out quickly and you don't gave to wait long to start eating. It's great for a quick bite if you're shirt in time. There's no table service, you order at the counter and wait for the number on your receipt to be called. I recommend this place for a consistently quick and good bite. It's an overall decent Mexican restaurant where anyone can get a good bite.

The fact that it's a 24hr drive thru and it serves above average quality mexican food, why would you go anywhere else for your late night munchies?

I love Mama Margie's. Always been and always will be one of my all time favorites. Always a good perfect vibe, great atmosphere, and always feel safe as they nightly hire sheriff's officers to keep the great atmosphere going. Not to say that I've ever witnessed anyone getting out of hand. Because I have to say, as many times as I've visited this one and the IH10 location. I've yet to see a mishap. The food, delicious as always. Got my order in a very timely manner, the staff lovely and friendly. Kudos to the management and staff. Keep up the great service and great tasting food as always and you can bet that will be a repeat customer. As always, was a privilege and a pleasure. Highly recommend it.

Been on vacation came home and decide lets have some good old momma margies for late dinner. Even though everytime I go to drive thru some thing is always missing from my bag after i politely tip and ask are you sure everything is in the bag. I let it go when i order a mikes plate and they stuff all my food in one container and my taco is stuck to my enchiladas or when i ask for salsa and theres none or when i asked for silver wear or no tomatoes and end up with seems extra tomatoes but this time around i ordered a huge family meal of fajitas which ive done many times over the years. Mind you it comes with tortillas which is the main part of the meal besides the fajitas guacamole sour cream beans rice. I tip my drive thru girl and was ASSURED that my order is complete drive all the way home open my meal and i have no tortillas no guacamole no sour cream. So here I go calling on the phone trying to speak to someone the girl on the phone was not helpful whatsoever I had to go searching for my receipt in the car they couldn’t look up my order when it was literally the last order that just left come to find out go all the way back they try to give me three tortillas for a pound and a half of fajitas no sour cream no guacamole I was told I’m not allowed to have that so then I asked politely can I purchase it was given attitude again pay for my stuff and go on my way and was just very disappointed with the whole transaction and Mama Margies is supposed to be a family restaurant their food is good but lately their service has just gone downhill. I hope that some one here sets up a customer service training class showing employees how to treat paying hungry customers. This type of foolishness is Unnecessary and should be corrected immediately. Respect...

First off this is a complaint about the treatment by two "cops" as we were leaving. We left around 2 am when my cousin felt ill. So we exited out the back to meet two cops who cornered us outside telling us to leave the premises immediately. We were there eating for about an hour so we were all confused to why these cops acted like we did something wrong. Especially at the fact we were already leaving. These cops said one of us threw up on a table and the manager wanted us off the property. Not true! My cousin who was ill felt like she needed to throw up, but did not. The reason why we left immediately. We were never disruptive at any time nor did we disrespect anyone. We are all adults and did what any normal people would do when someone in your group gets ill, leave! These cops had no reason to harass us as we were leaving especially that we were all concerned about my cousin. They should have been more helpful. In my opinion these cops thought we were some dumb drunks because one of us was feeling sick. And wanted stir up something because they were bored. But we were not drunk and did not fall for their provoking bullcrap. It felt like we were walking away from an impending altercation. Luckily my family and friends are respectful adults and can see when immaturity takes hold of people. Which in this case it was two cops. I hope this does not happen to any other costumer stirring up problems for this business. My family and friends will not be returning to this particular...
