Store was so nice taking our nearly five thousand dollars when purchasing our electronics for our home. We purchased TWO Insurance policies for each product. We have children and of course accidents happen. We we were reassured when purchasing the 200$ a year policy along with the extended warranty that every product we purchased was covered. We pay over 20 dollars a month for the extended warranty. Well... Here we were 10 months later with an issue. Our daughter knocked the monitor for the computer over while doing her schoolwork. Hey, no problem right?! I mean the agent who sold us everything said their insurance is so good we could purposely throw the stuff against the wall and get a replacement! Which is not what happened.. We bring the monitor to the store where they tell us that they will fix it. They tell us up to 6 weeks for repair and if they can't they will issue us a store credit. They call us after 2 weeks to come get the monitor. We get an email saying it's finished and ready forgot pick up. I was amazed that they could fix it. We get to the store. Sorry, we can't fix it they no longer sell the part. Plus, we don't cover physical damage. Btw, it was damaged in shipping we will waive the recycling fee. GIVE ME A BREAK! What according to them was fixable, but no longer due to them.... damaging it during shipping. It looked like they took it outside and had an office space moment with it or bashed it on the concrete for fun. I called corporate after the whole ordeal. I mean WHY pay for ACCIDENTAL protection if it doesn't cover accidents!! Corporate says to go back and to put them on the phone if necessary. Their MANAGER Thomas, who you would think with his position would be respectful...no. As we explained the situation and our talk with corporate LAUGHED in our faces multiple times. Not only that but was laughing and disrespectful to the agent from corporate. We were told verbatim from Thomas the MANAGER "I don't care what corporate says." Wouldn't replace the product. He gave us a number for a manager who was out of town and on vacation for the next two weeks to boot after telling us to call and that he would be in store in a couple days. He mocked us, laughed and was awful. Wouldn't help us at all. Was able to go to Selma best buy where they cleaned up their mess and were amazing. Don't waste your time with this store. If you are going to shop best buy, go the extra 15 minutes to the Selma store where they will appreciate your business and treat you with respect and dignity. Btw, every time we called the store to talk to or get information for their district, we were hung up on. Take the extra time to go to a store that have people who have respect for you. Selma store was AMAZING and cleaned up the mess from 410. We are still in the process of climbing the corporate ladder to address Thomas and his disrespect however. It is a pain to get a hold of regional managers. I wish all the stores made that...
Read moreI bought this Dell - XPS 15 15.6" 3.5K OLED Touch-Screen Laptop - 13th Gen Intel Evo i9 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40601TB SSD - Platinum Silver. However, upon picking it on this past Friday (Black Friday), I noticed that the actual specifications on the laptop were not as advertised. I was given a laptop with 16G Ram and 512ssd, not the 32G and 1TB as advertised. After speaking with chat, i was informed to return to the store, and I did. After 3 hours at the store. Come to find out, apparently when a customer returned this laptop (hince the open box) the associate took the customers word for it regarding what was being returned and didn't check the specifications, I checked. Apparently, a customer bought 2 laptops and returned the lesser 16G, saying they were returning the 32G, and the associate never confirmed what they were taking in from the customer. Now, they don't have a comparable laptop in "open box status" they are willing to swap that has the same specifications without me paying more for the same specs on a different computer. I spoke to a Mgr at the North Park (North Star) store, and she was willing to order and add 2x16G ram sticks in a week. But not the 1TB I was looking for. I'm trying to turn my art hobby into a business, and this was going to be my "workhorse." Everything is out of pocket, so I'm always looking for a good deal, and I found one. However, Bestbuy DID NOT do their due diligence, and now I have to pay to make them whole as opposed to Bestbuy honoring their offer. I said at least upgrade the hardware, YOU offered the deal not me, I just accepted it now they want to change your offer saying "We can add it for an additional cost (at store) but store associate aren't as willing to make monetary adjustment or admit they failed to fact check their items upon return. They said they have other "open box" 32G's but not at the cost I got this one for, which is fine but not my fault. Give me one of the "open box" ones even if it costs YOU more, not ME. It's YOUR FAULT at this point. Had you caught it before you could have blamed the other "customer." I shouldn't be penalized or have to pay more for what was offered at the price I paid or take less than what was offered for the same price I already paid. So BestBuy screws up, and I have to either pay more than what they asked for or take less than what was offered. Something has to give, and i'm not quitting on this one, f-that.... P.s. Tommy. BestBuy did not offer the same or an equivalent replacement. Only a refund, as I mentioned above. Which is NOT fair because you're not held accountable, and I don't get what I am offered and paid for. And attention to detail. I've since reached to theu instagram and they offered a...
