We went drive thru. We pull up and literally had to repeat and correct our order 7 times. It wasn't that complicated- a regular Oreo malt, and a large Reese's peanut butter cup shake. First the worker added chocolate to the order, then changed the size, then made it a shake, not a malt, etc. We finally had the order repeated back to us correctly and head to the window. We pay. They start to hand us 2 regular sized drinks. We corrected them and told them what we ordered (again), and as they're walking away, we hear her say two larges... Again. Not what we ordered. Then, they asked us to pull up, which, no biggie. Then they brought out two larges. We started to drive away (after trying to correct our order, again, this time to the back of the worker's head) and each took a sip. It tasted like the malted milk in my malt wasn't blended into the drink. But then... Apparently they decided to make the shake a malt too. This wouldn't have been too bad, except it wasn't blended well, and the malted milk just came through the straws in clumps. Very disappointing. We were heading back to get our correct drinks when we realized there wasn't much hope of that happening tonight,...
Read moreThe worst customer service ever!!! Waited for 6 mins to place my order, once I got to the area to order the drive through. The menu was dark no lights, the open sign was on by the driveway. The car in front of me waited 5 mins before moving forward. When I reached the window she asked that I circle back around saying the the girl with the headset had walked off. I asked for the manager and ask to order a turtle sundae since there were 4 cars waiting to place an order I did not want to circle back around. She took my order asked me to move up and they would bring it out. I pulled up and after 7 mins a melted sundae was brought out. I ask if they would replace it with one that was not melted. The girl brought out a replacement, no fudge and just a dab of carmel. I pulled back around and ask for a refund. I was given $5.62 after paying $6.70. I asked if I was overcharged the first time or why wasn't I given back $6.70. Michelle V. was VERY put out that she had to take my order in the first place. That they had to make a second one after they let it sit and melt for 7 mins. And that I finally wanted a refund.
Hope you have better...
Read moreShoestring fries. Fry sauce. Frozen custard. Good burgers. Occasional hot dog. My family’s reasons for enjoying Freddie’s.
Compared to P Terry’s fries, Freddie’s are cut even skinnier, so they achieve a better crispness/tenderness ratio, whereas P Terry’s fries are almost entirely tender and not really crispy at all. Then you’ve got both regular and spicy fry sauce for the win.
Not that Freddie’s frozen custard is magical by any means, but it’s definitely differentiated from regular ice cream by its smooth and creamy texture. Add to that the various mix-ins, and you’ve got a great dessert.
Personally, the hot dogs are nothing to write home about, but they offer a nice change of place for the kids once in awhile. The burgers, on the other hand, always taste fresh and flavorful. The bun holds it all together but stays out of the way by being minimal and unnoticeable and allowing the patties and all take center stage. I love how they slice their pickles lengthwise instead of coins, and they smash their patties thin, giving them a touch of crispness to the bite that pairs nicely with...
