Clean with plenty of sitting. The menu is not very clear as to how to order. The staff is kind of dry, but they accept credit cards. Definitely not your grandmother's gorditas, but gets pretty close. Not fried which is how the authentic gordita need to be. Their picadillo was good needs a little more flavor. The bottle salsas are not spicy, although seems stands in San Antonio. Recommended if your mom is not near to make you gorditas, this place can substitute for a short period of time.

They got some good Gorditas. They're small, but it's enough for me, and good pricing as well. The chicharrón was just my favorite, I tried the frijoles con queso, picadillo, and chicharrón con salsa verde. The picadillo wasn't that great but still enough for me to enjoy. Also you can serve yourself a lot of salsas to yourself, they even got this chicharrón salsa that was just absolutely amazing 👏 before I had to go back to Fort Worth, I grabbed 8 of them. 10/10

Doña Tota is one of my favorite places to go when I visit Monterrey Mexico, when I discovered they opened in SA I was happy, I went there for a training and visited one of the locations, I was pleased to discover that the Gorditas were exactly the same from Monterrey, recipes, ingredients and flavor. And the salsas are to die for! 😋 this is my new favorite place to go in SA.

I’d give 5 stars because I love the food a lot but there is one employee at this location (San Pedro) that is super rude. The times I’ve gone she has been insufferable and with no excuse as she usually jumps at people who did nothing to her in the first place. She always gives me dirty looks for ordering bigger orders and flour gorditas. It’s her job, if she doesn’t like the workload she can leave, people even tip them when they shouldn’t because of her. Today enough was enough, I had to come on here and write this in hopes the owners see this and train their employees better or fire this woman. She looked mad at me when I ordered flour, and I overheard her complain loudly to her coworkers about having to make flour, then when my order came out she knew it was mine because I was waiting in front of the counter and she knew I had ordered just flour Gorditas, she yelled my order looked around and threw it at me. Literally, grabbed the bag the box was in, swung it from the top, and threw it on to the counter, it slid to the edge and I just grabbed it. She never made eye contact with me and she quickly walked away. That is unacceptable. She could literally mess up peoples food, when I opened the box once I got home my gorditas were all over the place and mixed with one another. I genuinely love this place and the gorditas are delicious, but something needs to be done about this lady. If she doesn’t like to work there she needs to leave because she will likely drive...

Good food, VERY BAD customer service, I usually went to this location, I have enjoyed the food with my family, but the last time we visited it, I was charged twice, it has been almost a month and their Regional Manager(or so) Ignacio Garcia, only has overwhelmed me with the complexity of their organization (something that I don't care), but my money hasn't come back to my account, this guy is also a liar, he told me that the finance department had sent me a check to my home, but, it never happened. Today, I called him again and he changed his mind, this time he told that I should have received a letter explaining me, that I was charged twice but I also received a refund(which didn't happen), this looks to me, like I won't have my money back, now I will go to the bank to try with them. My advice, be mindful next time you visit them, that they could do the same...

Lately the gordítas have been so good, but usually is hit or miss, I don't like any of their guisados, for example nopalitos, I think that recipe is for a tostada not a gordita, their cárnitas and chicharrón have a stale and dry texture, I am telling you I have been eating here for 1 yr. And a half at least 6 times a month, the only ones that I eat for the past year are huevo en salsa verde and order a side of frijoles spoon 2 scoops inside the gordita and you will go to heaven for a little bit and then another bite and so on, they are running a combo right now 9am-11am 3 gorditas and a coffee for $3.49 and you can add another one for .50 they call it breakfast combo, they churn their employees A LOT some of them don't know about it, but tell them to call the manager, stop...
