Please let me tell you about an incredible experience I had today at the Jersey Mike’s off De Zavala just over a block away from I-10 (5886 De Zavala Road, 78249). It’s the day after a holiday and it is was rather busy in the store, but two employees stood out as they assisted me. Their names are Arline and Adrianna, and they make really delicious sandwiches.

First the food I ordered: I did not call in my order, so I stood in front of the menu finally deciding on a giant number three (The American Classic - ham and provolone) and giant number 13 (The Original Italian - provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappaciolo, salami and pepperoni). As many know, the meat for the sandwiches is thinly sliced to order, the vegetable toppings are freshly prepared and waiting to land on a customized sandwich. I ordered both Mike’s way (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil, vinegar and spices), extra tomatoes plus pickles, banana peppers and jalapeños. I also asked for the red pepper relish on the side since I was taking the sandwiches to go to enjoy with my family at home.

Now the service I received: Arline and Adrianna tag-teamed to prepare my sandwiches, and the sandwiches were ready to go in no time flat. It was so impressive how well they worked together and moved so quickly while making me feel like I was the only customer in the restaurant. They were kind and patient as I explained that it had been a moment since I’d visited a Jersey Mike’s, and I left reassured that our sandwiches would be as delicious as ever.

I feel comfortable recommending this specific location to both first-time and repeat customers of Jersey Mike’s. The sandwiches I ordered looked just as they do on the commercials and the menu. It was good although I did ask for lettuce and tomatoes on the side and they pit it on the steak sandwich so by the time I got home the lettuce was all hot and wilted. Also I went to the pick up sign and the guy working the register was also th guy dressing the sandwiches so 2 other people got their order first and the guy had to dress another sandwich before I go waited on. 6/3/23 Again I did ask for lettuce and tomatoes on the side and they put it on the steak sandwich so by the time I got home the lettuce was all hot and wilted. Not really sure of why it is SOOO hard to put items on the side. I fail to understand inept people and why so many of them work at Jersey Mike's. It's a shame cause they have decent product.
