Late Breakfast at Jim's Restaurant was Very Delightful ... Service was excellent !!! Food was excellent !!! Management was Attentive !!! Facilities...

I was hired on a Saturday 01/20/2024 at 11:43 a.m in the morning from Julia the head Manger, and was told told to come in to work Wednesday at 4:00 p.m 01/24/2024. I had called on 01/22/2024 and talk to the man that interviewed me, old Hispanic man with glasses to get the dress uniform cause I was never informed what to wear when I was hired. While we was talking he asked me what day do I start, and I told him the on 01/24/2024, and he had told me that's not my start date and switched it to 01/26/2024 that Friday. So when I go in that day I let them know I'm here to work and they told me to sit in the waiting room for 40 minutes. Then they came out and told me I was terminated for for not coming in on the 24th, when clearly I was told to come in on the 26th that Friday. So I call cooperate and let them know the situation and they knew the people there exactly who they were, when I explained the situation and was told to call Sunday and that's today and I did and when I called, I talked to the manager Julia or if that's her name or not about 8:30 this morning 01/28/2024. I let her know the situation and she told me she doesn't have a older Hispanic man that wears glasses that interviewed me and talked to me crazy all kind of ways and said I told you to be here at a certain date and that I don't listen to nobody but her. I tried to keep telling her what happened and she kept talking crazy and hung up and I'm the one tryna be professional and get a job. I think she was not professional and very rude treating me the way she did when I was only following instructions through miss...

I enjoy sending in shining reviews on good people that do exemplary work and give me great services. My parents visit San Antonio once or twice a year, and while visiting had the privilege of meeting such a team. Jim's Restaurant #39 at 18155 Blanco Road has a terrific crew. They work the graveyard shift until 8:00 AM. My dad usually arrives towards the end of their shift and spends a couple of hours having breakfast and waiting for doctor's appointment. Waitress Marie always is there and it is a real pleasure to have her serve him. She is a shining star and super example to all she works with and a great asset to Jim's. She is a pleasure to just be around as she is cheerful, thoughtful, and very attentive. How she can be that personable, that early, is beyond me. However; the rest of this crew are also the cream of the crop. From the wait staff, to the cooks, and even the maintenance person are all the same. They are made up of Elsa, Arturo, Clifton, Tonya, and Belle; and are employees that give Jim's a good name. Not just pleasant and enjoyable to be around, but you can see they are a cohesive group as well. When they have no customers they are working, they are busy cleaning everything in the restaurant. Even the bathrooms and floors are spotless. Please pass on my gratitude for a job well done, and my compliments to the on duty manager, Paul. It takes great managers to hire and train great personnel. He runs a great team, behind the scenes, and should be proud of the example that they set....
