Got kicked out for not having a mask.
Walked in with my wife and immediately they asked if we had our masks. Well we weren't planning on stopping in, so we didn't have them with us. Instead of offering us a disposable mask, they told us we couldn't eat there. Even after I asked them if we can cover our faces until we sit down, they said it was not possible.
Mind you, everyone who was eating didn't have a mask on. Texas no longer requires masks to be worn, but God forbid if you walk to your table without a mask, you're gonna kill Grandma. But let's forget about how COVID all of a sudden is not a concern when you sit down, because then masks become optional.
I use to be a loyal customer here, but it looks like I'll need to find another breakfast spot that doesn't follow Nazi rules. Hell, IHOP doesn't tell me to leave even if I don't have a mask on, and that was during the mandates. Only reason me and my family went to Jim's is because of 0 lines. But now I'd rather wait 20 minutes for a table at IHOP because I value freedom, something Jim's apparently doesn't care about.
Sad to see Jim's becoming an authoritarian establishment. You lost a customer just now. I hope it was worth it.
Update as of Jan 2025:**
I've yet to receive an apology from the management of this establishment.
No one has reached out or have asked me to come in to speak with someone.
Nothing.
So I will continue to boycott this place and I will continue to tell every single person I meet about my experience and how me and my wife were treated.
I've had friends and family want to meet up here for breakfast, and I've always recommended either IHOP or Cracker Barrel as a result.
I will never give my money to these blatant freedom-hating people again. As a veteran who fought for this country, you have done me dirty, Jims, and I will never forget it. If I could provide negative...
ย ย ย Read moreWaitress was a delight and we all had a wonderful conversation about her being from Hawaii and the current news regarding the unfortunate events happening there, but it seemed my coffee was always cold ( Maybe she was having that long conversation with all of her tables). Breakfast potatoes were old, tough and tasteless. I ordered over hard eggs and received over medium. When my husband said something, the Waitress made a scowl and said okaay, slowly. When she took the plate my husband said, I heard you say "over hard" and his sister said "I did too". They wouldn't of said that unless they both agreed on the reaction we got. Eggs returned great! Ham was mostly hard and I had to cut around it. Let's not forget about "The Texas French Toast". I could've made these at home and when I say this, French toast is the only thing I do not make well. They were soggy before I buttered and syruped them (hmm... is there such a word as "syruped"?) Haha! Well I left it like that anyway. It's bound to have made someone smile. My husband wanted the breakfast pork chop when he saw the menu on line. Well, you guessed it, he was sad. Very different emotion from him after a horrible meal. Oh yeah, did I mention his sister was there. This is a rare review for me. I don't usually rate this bad and that's a shame ๐ ๐. Oh! The bathrooms were disgusting!!! That spoke volumes to me. Ugh! I'm trying not to think too much about that. To the Waitress: Prayers are up for you and yours and that you get plenty of great tips to save, so hopefully one day you can get back home to visit when all is...
ย ย ย Read moreI called and spoke with a very rude cashier named Dee Dee. Dee Dee told me very harshly to hold for a few minutes. I watched something while I waited and she still had me on hold. I hung up and decided to call back. She answered the phone very rude again. I placed my order which was a Steak breakfast(Steak(Extra seasoning and Medium)Eggs scrambled and a so called flaky biscuit. I also ordered the pork chop breakfast( Pork Chop (extra seasoning) Eggs (over hard) and toast ( apparently the only thing they can cook right). Dee Dee told me that she "thinks it would be 30 mins." I thought to myself that was way too long to wait so I went up there and my food was just sitting there very cold and not cooked to order. I arrived to see this so called Dee Dee and another very rude guy with black chain tattoos all over his left hand greet me very unprofessional. Dee Dee seen me and just ran off and didn't even acknowledge my presence. I took my food home to me and my friend to see that it was not cooked right at all. My friend's Steak was cooked very raw and had no taste. My friends hash browns were very burnt. The restaurant also forgot her biscuit. The restaurant cooked my order wrong as well. My pork was so damn tuff to eat. My over hard eggs were very runny. My hash browns were cooked to "burnt"fection. My overall thoughts with this restaurant is that I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. If I could rate this place no stars I would. PLEASE to anybody who even thinks of...
