LA CHINA'S BAR & GRILL — Restaurant in San Antonio

So after reading the reviews I wanted to give this place a chance. We called to see what kind of issues were going on with the reviews of long waits for food. It was explained that all food is cooked to order which is something that I can appreciate so the wait for food was not an issue , the whole issue started when we went to go pay for our bill. Our waitress was the one that was ringing us up at the register and then all of the sudden the owner came and told her that she would take over. So at that point the owner erased everything that our waitress put in the system and started adding everything up again and then I noticed that the pricing of the food was higher than what was listed on the menu and I question the owner about raising the prices upon payment. Her response was there is a paper on the front of the door that states that she can raise prices at any given time due to the price of inflation. I can understand that but when you have written the change of price on the menu already in marker and I go up and pay and you add another $3 to that item and tell me to read the sign on the front door, to me that is just taking advantage of the customer nothing else that I can say other than that. Our experience with the food was that it was OK but not hot based on time we waited and tortillas on all three tacos were hard and cold. The chicharon in the cup that is listed on menu for $12.99 in marker but charged for $15.99, was hard as a rock. The $4.00 cup of coffee was cold and we had to send back to heat up. When I made a comment to the owner that my experience was not what we expected, her response was "oh well".To me that was a slap in the face, not even a thank you for waiting for over 1hr. I apologize for any bad experience please understand I have been struggling with staff not everyone knows my specialty on my menu the bad reviews are people that come in with attitude already judging and criticizing from start and that’s ok that’s what restaurants come with off social media if anyone waited for food it’s because it was full house everyone came in at same time with short staff new staff ect but yet they wait 1 hr or more at other places and more expensive or fast food wait at drive through for over 20 min at McDonald I Dnt get it but that’s comes with it my food is really good just had new staff trying get down my plates they not use to I try b nice but I also give same energy u give me as for the lady’s or other people asking for things that are not on menu of course it take a while it’s not on menu and I was packed so I could accommodate you at the time ull can hate me or love me it’s ok but you will never understand being Entrepreneur in this business industry unless u been in my shoes you will understand if not then I accept...

The whole experience is a zero out of ten. The fideo was all grease and overcooked. We asked for molletes to start off & it was forty minutes in and we didn’t have anything served. The cook, I believe she’s the owner she comes out hostile that why is everything canceled, which I reiterated that only the molletes were canceled. She says I can’t grill the chicken it has to be breaded, I said that’s fine to ahead and she kept arguing and making it an issue so we canceled the whole order and she kept arguing & making comments, she kept it going.
