I grew up eating at Piedras Negras De Noche almost every weekend as a kid growing up. We would go to Piedras Negras Cafe when it was by the train tracks, then we would have dinner at Piedras Negras De Noche some evenings. I had not been back in years until last week. My wife had a bad experience years ago and refuses to eat there with me. We went with about 40 family members after my Aunt Sarah's funeral on Jan 9th. It was her favorite restaurant. My food was good, but they were super busy, and it took a while to get our food. It was in the middle of the lunch rush, so I'm sure they were not expecting such a large crowd on that particular day. My fajitas tasted like they had been frozen for a while, and my son's barbacoa smelled fishy, so he didn't touch it. Everything else I tasted was just like I remembered. The sweet tea, the chips and salsa, the rice and beans, tortillas. I hope I get a chance to go back soon and give them another chance. Everyone else who ate said their food was good.

First time trying this place out. I went by the reviews. I don’t know if I just chose the wrong dish, but this place didn’t cut it for me. I ordered a parillada for two beef only. The beef fajitas were extremely tough. I literally hurt my molars trying to chew it down. I ordered a tripa taco extra crispy, and that filled me up. The tortillas are pretty good they are home made. That’s the only reason why they get one star. So let’s go back to the dried over cooked fajitas. The waitress decided to give me two tickets because she couldn’t discount my fajitas that did not get eaten. I go to the register to check out I explained to the owner that I did not eat my beef fajitas. She was shocked that I told her that I didn’t like them. She stated “ no one has ever complained about the fajitas before”. I’m shocked that no one has complained. Any who she discounted $10 from my total tab. It should of been taken off completely, but it is what it is. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Piedra Negras de Noche delivered a breakfast experience that exceeded all expectations! I indulged in two bean and cheese tacos alongside two potato egg tacos, and each bite was a flavorful journey. The balance of ingredients and the freshness of the flavors showcased the skill and passion of the chefs. The ambiance was equally impressive, setting the stage for a memorable morning meal. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service created the perfect backdrop for enjoying delicious food and starting the day off right. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Piedra Negras de Noche is a breakfast gem not to be missed. Five stars for their impeccable tacos and inviting atmosphere!

My husband and I have been long time customers I would say over 25 years. In a town of pretend Mexican food restaurants this place is the real deal. We have recommended this place to out of town guest's. That said I have never sent food back but today I did. I ordered bean and cheese nachos and my husband ordered shrimp enchiladas. My order came out about 5 minutes before his and I waited to eat with him. As I started eating I noticed that two out of the three nachos were really hard not crisp I mean they hurt my teeth hard. I asked the waitress to take them back. She did without a problem but my order never came back out. My husband finished eating and we still waited another ten minutes for my nachos. Yes the restaurant was busy but we are talking NACHOS. When we decided to leave we had no problem getting the waitress to take off the nachos from the bill. But when the owners son (wearing a white CCHS baseball cap) asked "how can I help you?" As I started to explain he cut me off and asked " did the food come to your table?" Again I started explaining and since we were near the line where people were waiting he cut me off again saying " what is it that you want me to do?" My husband jumped in and said "listen". My complaint is that the owners don't listen. Today is a holiday, I'm sure it was a busy day. Plan for the day. Get more fryers, get more cooks. There was nothing that could be done for me other than LISTEN to your customers. Don't be condescending or judgemental we were not trying to get something for nothing. From my husband - "Take off that CCHS ball cap, your making us look bad."...

I'm done coming here hopefully. The first time I went it was nice. It was quick and I was treated very kindly. However when I went 2 more time afterwards I was with family and the waiters took forever. The first time he didn't get everyone's food at the same time. We had to wait an extra like 10 minutes to get the other half of the tables' food. There was only 5 of us at the time. Plus it took forever to get little things like butter or lime or even sugar for tea. He was really off his game.

The 2nd time it was a larger group of us. The waitress was better at the beginning but she was getting lazier as the evening went on. Not coming to check on us and mixing up orders. She also seemed to have been falling behind on stuff and was putting whatever other duties she had to do as her priority before taking care of us. I asked for a box for instance before leaving and it seemed like she just forgot and never came back to the table. I got up and went to the counter to ask for box again. I got it that time. The whole family watched her basically closing out her orders from earlier as if she was leaving for the day. All this while there was only 4 tables in the whole restaurant that were taken up. We were...
