Hotel ran my card 2x before it was time to check in and I chose the option to pay when I arrived. Arrived and had to stand at the front desk for about 5 mins and wait on someone to come check me in. The agent constantly ran off room numbers out loud, which is not safe for someone traveling alone. That's like front desk 101. He put me on the 2nd floor and they don't have an elevator. Once he explained that, I had him change it because I had very large luggage. He had to use money out of his wallet to give me changed and asked if I could leave the large bill because he didn't have the change to break it in half. No. This hotel is the loudest I've ever stayed in. The housekeepers slam every door they come in contact with, the entrance door slams very loud, the ice machine is loud everything here is loud. I asked the front desk if the rate would be the same for me the next day if I wanted to extend. He told me yes at check in. Before I headed out in the evening I went to the front desk to extend my stay and he was not there again. He was in the window when I pulled up and by the time I reached the desk he disappeared. Once I got in my vehicle to pull off he came back to the window. I tried again when I came back. I called and a lady told me she would make notes to the account and extend my reservation. The next morning I went to the front desk, no reservation had been set up and the rate increased. I'm not hard to please all I ask for from this stay was cleanliness and a small bit of peace. It was clean so I guess 1 out of 2 wasn't bad. I will never stay here again. I'm starting to notice that these franchise hotels don't give a damn what they do, they make it up as they go. He also signed me up for the loyalty program and did not ask me. When I checked out I spoke to the manager and she blamed the people from Mexico for the loudness, which I thought was very demeaning. Nothing was ever offered more than an excuse for all the rest I lost out on. Called Expedia and they called the hotel, no help. Called corp, no...

PROS: *Pet friendly - no deposits (we travel with a pitbull and a cat, no issues) *Nothing about the room made it obvious that they allow animals. No smells, no scratched up furniture. *Room was clean and comfy. Most pillows I've ever seen on a bed (8, I think?!) with both soft and firm - like sleeping on a cloud after 15 hours of driving. *Breakfast had sausage links, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, yogurt, cereals, waffle maker, juices, breads, bagels, fruit, ect. Good spread, still hot and fresh at 8:30am. Bacon was gone by that time. *The rooms are INSIDE the building - not one of those where the door to each room is outside. Makes it safer and no bugs. This is a huge plus for us, and something I'm always trying to find out when reading reviews.
NEUTRAL: *Water pressure in the shower was alright. Not bad, not amazing. *The lady at the front desk (didn't catch her name) was good at her job. We had a bit of a weird interaction at first. In retrospect, I think she thought I was trying to scam/commit fraud. Her demeanor changed real quick and I didn't understand why she was being standoffish. Once we got it figured out, she was sweet and we were good to go. Looking back, I'm actually glad that she was so cautious and required further verification. She did her job thoroughly and that might save someone from actually getting scammed in the future.
CONS: *Skip the orange juice and scrambled eggs at breakfast. *Freezer section of the fridge in our room didnt work. *Our room was in a building separate from the main one. No elevator to get to the second floor. Not a huge deal for us, but might be for others. *My biggest complaint is that the room was almost 80 degrees and SO very humid when we got in. Took about an hour and a half to cool down and not be sticky anymore.
Overall, this is one of the nicest La Quintas I've ever stayed in. We paid $75 with tax for a weekday stay....
Read moreFriday 17-Monday20 me and my four children and husband stayed there in room #408 one of my bags a duffle bag was left behind in the restroom counter and when I called to claim I left my bag there with over 50 meds that are for my children for ADHD,Epilepsy, high blood pressure, inhalers, Tremors, anxiety, allergies etc my children’s life depend on those meds and until I go with the doctor I will have my children without meds. It took so much time to give me a response wow am from El Paso and I’ve never had nothing like this happen to me. So people please be sure to double check because in a couple of mins or hrs your belongings were never seeing. Very upsetting. Never will I recommend this hotel. Thank you for nothing.
