I wish I could rate this a - 0 because my girl always talking about this place and how good it is and tonight she is very disappointed. I had a review of not 45 minutes ago and now it's gone because I had to rewrite this. I ordered a torta which the girl behind the counter tried to overcharge me. Clearly looking at the menu and look at it at the board over your head the tortawhich should have been $6:50 with tax like always she tried to charge me $9.99 +tax and then tried to give me change from her pocket and from a $20 bill. She was trying to hand me $3. And some change. This guy (the cook) said something to her in Spanish and she said No. So then another girl came from the back without saying a word.... Opened the register deleted the order and re-rung up the order. She then took the change from the counter the first girl tried to give me and put it back in the register then she said something in Spanish to the first girl and held her hand out. The first girl said No to her also. At the point the second girl went in her pocket and took out a $20 bill and gave me $13.50 back said something to the first girl and walked in the back of the restaurant. So here I'm waiting about 10 before another customer walked in which was an elderly couple. They stood at the counter for about 10 minutes waiting to place the order and everybody was right there standing around Caulking chit-chatting and plane and nobody turned around to acknowledge that the couple was standing there waiting to order. the older gentleman said Hello can somebody please take our order? the first young woman that took my order turned around and told them to wait that she was busy everybody that works there looked at her for a couple seconds and they all just bust out laughing. I thought that was so unprofessional it's going on about 25 minutes and I ask the young lady where is my food and she looked at me as if I killed her puppy or something and look at the couple and ask them can I take your order in Spanish, the older female that was with the older gentleman told her that they do not speak Spanish so the girl that was taken that order turned around picked up her phone and started doing whatever else you was doing. So now I said I want my food or give me my money back and I said it in a loud tone and that's when everybody started moving. The second young lady that came from the back to give me my correct change came up to the front ask a couple what they wanted ask them to restock the salsa bar so the second young lady told the first and lady to go and do it and she told her no and she told her that you're messing with my money so you do it. so I ask for a manager and of course it was the guy who was cooking or supposedly cooking the food and he walked up and he don't speak English so I just said that I want my money back so II server told the other employees that if you guys are not going to work you need to go home I'm tired of this and this can't be happening.
And if the owner wants to talk to me I'll be looking for a reply from this review with contact information or time that I can come by and speak...
Read morePulled up to drive thru and the lady spoke Spanish. Didn't try to speak English or doesn't speak it Idk. I tried to ask about beef fajitas but I don't know if they have this but it got too confusing so I just told her Pollo quesadilla. Chicken quesadilla. I said it several times. She said it several times. I swore she told me $5.08 in Spanish. Sounded like cinco y Ocho. I got the 8 right but when I handed her the 5 she said it was 7.08. I didn't hear her say siete but maybe she did. Anyways bottom line is I ended up with a steak or beef quesadilla and I don't like those. I made it all the way to work to discover this and I didn't have any back up food and this was my dinner. I tried one and the meat was chewy and too much beef. I don't do beef/steak burritos or nachos or quesadilla. I strictly deal with chicken and ground beef when I do Mexican. I like carne Asada tacos but not the corn tortilla. I seen this beef fajita plate at another restaurant that made me wanna try it. I normally don't like fajita but it looked so flavorful and tasty but maybe I should get it from the place I saw makes it.So other than that I only deal in chicken and ground beef so it was a waste of money while I dreamed of what the chicken would have tasted like. The hot sauce was so spicy and tasty but the quesadilla wasn't my cup of tea. I kept trying to tell myself just to eat but I'm not a fan of that texture of meat.
All in all I don't know if the food was good. It looks to have potential but being as though I don't like steak except as a T bone I couldn't tell you if the food was worth another try or not. The non English speaking workers and the language barrier that caused me to get the wrong food would make me not wanna return for another go here. I'm not sure if they are doing that in purpose cause they only wanna serve Spanish speaking people or if that's all the help they have now but it makes it hard for me because I love Mexican food but I'm not a Spanish speaker. Un poquito but not a lot.
I will just say that I still go here. The language barrier is better but their bean and cheese tacos are hit and miss! Yesterday I went and got three and forgot that their beans be hard as rock sometimes in them until I bit into it and I remembered this is the spot that always does this. They need to cook those beans a little longer cause I wasted two of three tacos I got and that...
Read moreOnly 3 stars because the night crew is amazing. Awesome service and food if you're out after midnight. If you're in during the day, I fear you've went to the wrong place. During the day the portions are skimpy, the food not a nicely prepared, and worst of all the service is horrid. I've had several times that, despite repeating 3 times what I wanted, and watching it be taken down correctly, getting the wrong food. This is most common if ordering fajitas, you request chicken, then they ask again, and you repeat, then they wait a couple seconds and ask again and say "pollo" (hoping the information goes though is Spanish a little better). You watch them write pollo, wait 20 minutes or more and then get beef anyways. However, the worst offense that I've had here was last night. We were in before the cashiers for the night were off and it was incredibly difficult to order. One person stood at the register and just stared as if she didn't know what to do. Eventually the person working the drive-thru came over and took the order. Even then it took both my girlfriend and I repeating our order numerous times before they managed to catch what we were asking for. As part of the order my girlfriend ordered a coconut ice cream bar for after we ate. When she went to get the bar from the cooler, she asked the person that took our order to unlock the cooler so that she could get that ice cream. She was told a couple times that she would have to purchase the ice cream in order to have it, even after explaining that we had already paid for it. We were there and out in about 20 minutes, and it wasn't what I would consider busy at the time. There was one customer in and out in the time we were there so there wasn't a really great excuse for hassling someone over ice cream that they ordered and had been paid for. Really makes me regret the tip that I left. I'm a fairly generous tipper, especially when the service is excellent. Tonight was a more conservative time for me and was still around 20% (3.32 on 16.68).
Anyways, short version: Night Crew (no wait/cashier staff): Absolutely amazing. Great portions. Great Service. Great food. Cannot fault them at all. Any other time: Borderline waste of...
