I came all the way from Dallas to come eat and hangout here. I was here a month ago and had a great experience. The food here is great. My sister joined with me (she doesn’t drink anymore do use to personal reasons). When we went up I gave my ID to get a drink the lady said we had to leave at a certain time since she isn’t drinking? Doesn’t make sense considering she just simply doesn’t drink. The other bartender also had an attitude when ordering food. One of the bartenders was there too the first time she had the same little attitude but I didn’t mind it because I come here for the food. After the second time I’m highly disappointed. Food is great minus the fact they still added pico after having a confusing time saying no pico please on the fries which isn’t the cooks fault, it’s simply the one taking the orders fault... Drinks are good. Workers are not, one did flip her attitude and was nice when leaving. But the one with a sleeve wasn’t.

This place is an awesome little gem. A tad cramped for having out inside, but they have a massive patio, too. This place definitely has a dive bar feel to it, but is very welcoming. The food is amazing and caught me completely off guard! We checked them out late at night when we got into town. We split one of their daily empanadas. I can't recall what they said was in it, but either way it must be tried! In addition to that we split their Duck Confit Chelsea, and it rocked! The Chelsea has basil pesto sauce with mozzarella, rosemary grilled mushrooms, onions, red bell peppers, zucchini, and duck confit. Their dough is made in house, the vegetables are noticeably fresh, and the pesto sauce went perfect on it! All in all, the food is excellent for a place to hang out at, but get there early if you want to sit inside. Definitely a great place to meet with friends to hang.

Before I say this place is good, buy a mess of fries with BBQ pork and thank me later. Great spot to have a drink after work or come for one of their movie screenings, karaoke nights, or other events. It's a pretty chill spot, but let me tell you the two details that made me give it a 5 despite some slight issues. First, Richard the bartender is great. He let us know how much of the beer my girl was drinking was left, since they were low and he didn't want to run out without us expecting it. That attention to detail is what keeps customers coming back as we feel cared about. Second, the food was very good. I expected eh bar food, but it was much better than I thought.

That being said, I do have gripes. First, I always dislike when less than 15 people are at a bar yet music is still loud enough for 100. Music should never dropped out conversation, yet it should be loud enough to be heard and danced to. That takes adjustment depending on the number of people. Secondly, the aluminum foil at the bottom of the fries stuck to the cheese. I probably ate a bit. This is a potential health hazard. If you use wax paper instead we get to eat all the cheese and it...

I love Oak Hills Tavern! Great chill spot where everyone, patrons and staff, are friendly. Chill out on the front or back patios outside or play pool, darts, or shuffleboard inside. Oak Hills does a great job of having weekly events like karaoke and movie nights for anyone who is looking to pair great food and drinks with a fun activity. Sometimes they have art shows out on their quaint front patio, I like the front patio because it is enclosed by a wooden fence so there is not a lot of foot traffic or onlookers like you might get elsewhere. Even if you aren't interested in having a beer or cocktail, definitely go to Oak Hills for some excellent eats. Their tacos, pizzas, and duck confit fries are all delicious- I've never ordered anything from their kitchen that I did not throughly enjoy. The bar staff are also excellent and friendly. Amy, Liz, Richard or Johnny can usually be found behind the bar and will always take great care of you. I am always looking for an excuse to head over...
