I come to this place a lot and live about 15 away. So it’s good drive but usually worth it. Today7/4/22 I placed order #030.. I ordered 3 bean&cheese, 3 potato&bacon, 2 bacon&egg, 2 Picadillo w/cheese tacos. This is a total of 10 tacos. What I received was 7 tacos, missing the 2 bean and cheese and 1 bacon and egg. This is a problem but this place is really good and im regular customer so im willing to let that go.

What I can’t let go is that when I called to report the missing tacos. I asked to speak to the manager and was placed on hold for exactly 4 min 32 sec, according to my phone. When the person picked up the phone I have my complaint and she responded with a really bad attitude and tone of voice with “your really missing that many tacos. I responded “yes I am missing this tacos” with an equally amount of attitude as she gave me. She then stated that she is not the manager, the manager is currently busy and I would have to call back at 2 pm to talk to the manager, which by the way is the time they close. When I told her that not acceptable and I need my missing tacos, she then said “the manager is not here she will be back in an hour, can you call back then”. This time with sarcasm. Like it was a joke or she was somehow getting the upper hand on me”. Which is a weird thing to want to do to a customer who is just trying to get his missing food to feed his kids.

I spent $28 and left a $3 tip at the drive through and this girl, I say girl cause she sounded young, is basically making me feel like she thinks I’m trying to scam them out of $5. This is really petty and this kind of behavior shows not only that this particular girl thinks it’s acceptable to make customer feel like you think their lying but also shows how involved the manager is during this shift. I don’t believe this girl would take the liberty to say the manager either wasn’t there or was unavailable, or at least I hope not. What I think happened is that the manager was either to busy to take the call, which they should always take customer complaint no matter how busy you are or didn’t take the initiative to appoint a team lead to run the restaurant in her absence.

My wife wasn’t having it, so she went down to the restaurant To go talk to them in person, now when she gets back will have to eat cold food. My wife spoke with someone named Angela and she replaced the food without an issue and apologized on behalf of the restaurant. Thank you Angela and if you are the manager and I’m wrong about the statement above then this is a big problem with however I spoke with...

Yesterday, February 28, 2024 I was in line in the drive-through on the donut side to pick up an order, simple, three Papa and chorizo tacos and half a dozen mixed chocolate donuts. Even though I was right in front of the window, they kept going out and taking orders from people who were behind me no one ever came to the window to take my order. By the time they did, it’s bcz I had to call their attention. The order was incorrect. Today February 29, 2024 again I was with my son in line on the donut line. I placed my order Sam as yesterday my son takes them donuts to his school shares & he eats breakfast. Today I ordered the exact same thing as yesterday, and added one Barbacoa taco, and 1/2 don mixed . I left down the street. My son is checking the order there’s no Barbacoa taco then he checks the donuts. The chocolate mix donuts were fine today but the other donuts were all plain donuts and just had jelly inside. They didn’t mix them so I call and I explained to them you know what they didn’t give me my taco Barbacoa tacos and my plain donuts are not what I asked for I asked for mix not just all you know, feel jelly I spoke with Angela she blamed I didn’t explain well enough to the young lady in the window that I should’ve explained exactly how I wanted mixed donuts. I thought if you just said mixed donuts that means a variety mixed right. So when I speak with Angela on the phone like I said, she blamed me for the incompetency and lack of communication from her employees and then she reimbursed me. I had to drive all the way back half an hour on the opposite side of town and she didn’t care. All she wanted to do was get me out of the store and I get it. I’m just one customer that they don’t care because they have plenty of other ones they’re very rude they’re condescending and honestly their food is not great. I go there because my son likes the donuts, what a horrible experience two days in a row she wasn’t even apologetic. Angela did not care, so this just goes to show you they don’t care about their customers. It’s just all...

I don’t write reviews very often, but when it’s well-deserved, I tell myself I need to take the time to write one…so today, I want to take the time to compliment the staff of Original Donut Shop. There has only been one time out of the many, many times I have gone in there that I have been able to walk right up to the register without standing in line, because it’s always so ridiculously busy every time I go in (that’s the sign of a good restaurant!) Often while waiting in line or waiting for my order I’ll chat with the other customers around me, and you can often tell that this is a favorite of many of them, and a place where people feel welcomed and at home.

Despite it always being so busy, the staff in there is like the most incredibly well-oiled machine. From the registers to the food prep to the cooks to the bussers, everyone knows the importance of their job and where they fit into the process. They all seem to work so well together communicating with each other and hustling to get all of the customers processed, and I have never seen anyone slacking off. And when I say hustle, they HUSTLE. I would highly recommend anyone who manages a restaurant or fast food service to go in and just observe the staff for 5-10 minutes, because this is how it’s done!

On top of the impressive staff, the food is great. Since moving nearby, it has become my favorite place to treat myself to some breakfast tacos and get my day started on the right foot. A warm and tasty picadillo with cheese taco is my go-to, and I’ve gotten so accustomed to the flavor of theirs that when I’ve ordered them anywhere else, I never end up liking them. 😜

To the staff at Original Donut, keep up the good work, and thank you for always starting my day with a pleasant experience every time I visit. You are...

Id ordered donuts then 6 tacos. It was over a 15 min wait, which I thought acceptable considering the large orders they were taking. I'd only received 5 of the 6 tacos. I mentioned it to the person handing out the orders and she asked the people working the "line" for it. A senior woman that ordered prior to me Asked what happened to her order, she's been waited 20 min. Monica,(manager) shouts, "We're getting the orders tell them to keep track of their tickets!" While I continued to wait I noticed some of the newer customers already walking out w their orders. I let the woman handing out orders know, that I was still waiting on 1 taco and now 4 different people (including the senior lady) seem to be passed up. She was looking over to notify the other employees and see where the issue was when Monica, shouts "We're getting to them just wait, we're waiting on tortillas!" I said "but we've BEEN waiting, before & others came well after had left." To which she replied: "Well then you can come back here and make them yourself, or help make tortillas" "I said or you can refund me" "She said yes, I'd rather do that." I'd not been rude or raised my voice. I also had a 4 year old w me and since I didn't feel that was appropriate to shout over your employees and customers, that I took the refund. *This "manager" had also just told an employee that walked in late to not clock in& go home prior to this. This could have upset anyone BUT She had plenty of hardworking people working right besides her. They were doing there best. She had as much control over her emotions as she did the situation. Completely lost all credibility here

The Original Donut Shop will NOT disappoint! This place is always busy, but the staff work hard to make your visit as quick as can be. Drive through traffic goes out into the street. Went in on a Friday at 10 and it wasn't too busy, as soon as I put my order in and sat down to wait for it, I looked over at the line and there were at least 10-12 new customers. The food they serve you is upfront behind glass so you can see what you're getting as well as tortillas being made in view. The staff is friendly and quick. Place your order, seat yourself, wait for your number to be called get your food and eat. Tables are clean and well spaced out, not crowded. We had breakfast tacos and had a bit of almost everything. Chicharon guisado, great flavor, Carne guisada excellent flavor and meat was extremely tender, pica dillo very good flavor, papas a la mexican yum, chorizo y papas and the potato cubes were extremely soft, and shredded chicken, fantastic and extremely tender! If you want real Mexican breakfast, this is the place to be! Will bring back memories of grandmas kitchen! But wait, there's more, you can't eat there without getting a Donut! They are soft and delicious, not too sweet, but packed with flavor! I will return and do recommend!

Had been wanting to try this place for a while. Such a bustling place on a cold rainy morning! People lined up at the counter waiting to order, picking up to go, busy drive-thru window, separate doughnut counter line, homemade tortillas flipping...there's A LOT going on! I managed to order doughnuts and tacos on the doughnut side, while also having them pick out a mixed dozen. Have to say the doughnut counter girl was extremely friendly regardless of the orders being yelled across the place. She did forget to make my dozen as I went to pick up tacos (READY REALLY FAST!) but quickly apologized and loaded them up. I'd like to return to try other breakfast items. Other than the doughnuts, I think the big draw here are the tortillas. I know everyone has their style of flour tortillas, but as impressive as they look, I found them a little too dense for my liking. It's good, don't get me wrong, just a tad too thick and dense, especially if you want more than one. The fillings were just a'ight ...my potato & egg needed a bit more potato, and the guisado was on par with others I've had elsewhere. Still, the old-school atmosphere and friendliness definitely makes me want to return for another visit! 😀 They doughnuts rocked!
