Taqueria La Tapatia # 8 — Restaurant in San Antonio

Wentt have my lunch, as we walked in there were many tables dirty we chose to sit in the area near the bar...we were not greeted and we're there for a good minute until the waitress told us we could nt sit there, okay so we didn't know she asked us to move we wanted a booth table but non were available to because they we're dirty, she left the menus on another table so we stood up as she wall away to clear tables ,we told her we wanted a booth she said okay she cleaned it very quickly ,o ordered a bucket of Corona specifically said wow they are 7 .99 ? She said so also my cousin said wow good price, I asked for a small shrimp cocktail, specifically with no spicy stuff she said no it doesn't have anything spicy, so she brought my cousin food first after awhile she didn't even bring our drinks first she finally brought our corona tub then she brought my cocktail and I was eating it I noticed it had Jalepenos and I am highly allergic to anything type of spicy and stuff. As she was coming by o told her it had Jalepenos she made a face like she was shocked and she returned it , then I decided I would just eat a bean taco, I had to get up and tell her ,the whole time I was there we were not treated as paying customer ,finally she came by and asked if we needed her to open the bottles we said yes she grabbed them with her dirty hands and opens them mind you she leans over the whole table over our food, opens them and walks away , we needed more service and she never came back to the table to see if we were comfortable or needed something else.So I go to pay as we finish and I realize they charge me incorrectly why am I paying so much? Turns out the bucket of 5 coronas was not the price I thought they were and when I tell the cashier she says okay thank you bye. Whhej I also to speak to manager they say there Ian tone in duty they refuse to give me their name. They were rude they were not good servants they did not provide excellent service they lack skills and they are rude the food is not even that great. I would not recommend eating there. Very disapointed with this restaurant. We work hard for our money and do not deserve to be treated as if we do not , we go to restaurants to avoid cooking at home and the they don't deliver the proper service and food we seek. I placed a drive thru. I must have repeated myself three times that I only wanted lettuce and the shredded chicken. First response; okay so a chicken taco with lettuce and tomato? I said no ma'am just shredded chicken and lettuce and then she said okay so shredded chicken lettuce and tomato.

I said ma'am shredded chicken she cut me off and said yes chicken with lettuce and tomato. At that point I decided to just drive up which I had another car ahead of me she told them wait around the corner for their food Once I arrived at the window she really talked over me and said sir I was just making sure I have this right and I'm thinking to myself how many times do I have to repeat a very simple order such as a soft taco with shredded chicken and lettuce.

She came back to the window with a pile of lettuce on the side of a corn tortilla wrapped up like a taquito and I asked her if I could please have everything inside then she comes back and it's still a corn tortilla that is super greasy in the moment I pick it up it falls apart she then proceeds to get the manager of the kitchen he was very kind he knew immediately what I was looking for a flour tortilla with shredded chicken and lettuce for my five-year-old boy and boom voila it was out in 2 seconds how hard was that that lady at the window must have had a long day or something because she was being quite rude. Went on a Sunday morning for brunch with family. Wasn't really crowded, except for one large table celebrating something. Not a single waitress acknowledged or greeted us. 20 minutes later, still nothing. Not even a drink order. I got up and requested a waitress. 5 minutes later, one shows up and takes our drink order. Another 20 minutes go by and we still haven't been able to order. I got up again to request a waitress, and they said somebody will be with us in a minute. Waited another 10 minutes, and got up again to request a waitress. Finally someone takes our order. Wife and i ordered the overpriced ($11.95) buffet. There were literally 10 or so different items to choose from, but unfortunately half of the selections were empty. I requested more items, as did a few other patrons. Then they ran out of silverware. Then they ran out of bowls and plates, and I had to ask for that too. Daughters ordered tacos and french toast, and they were both good tasting. Nothing exceptional. Just good. We the n asked for the check and left. I complained to the manager who said they were short staffed, and she apologized and gave me a 10% off discount for my next visit.
