I went to Pacific Moon 4-5 years ago for the first time with my husband. The food was ok. We went when they weren't that busy, so the service was great. Then I went again on a Friday night to have a drink with a friend. We decided to order food too since it was around dinner time. First thing - I had no idea this place was so busy on Friday nights. I intentionally picked it as a potentially quiet spot to have a drink. Not their fault but I was totally wrong lol Second issue - it seemed like their AC was broken. There were fans everywhere, one at the front door, one at the register for the bartenders, and the ceiling fans were on. But because the place was packed, I got so hot that I almost passed out. It was crazy. I ordered a Kona chicken salad that was supposed to come with some fruit also. There were literally 3 grapes and 3 tiny apple chunks. The fried chicken was actually overwhelming. There were like 8 giant chunks served with spring mix salad. There was a small serving of coconut yogurt for a dressing which was pretty good. Overall just really underwhelming food. We were trying to get the check and pay for the food for around 30 minutes. They were pretty busy but just not getting around to us. When we did get service, it was fine. At one point they turned on very loud music and that, combined with the heat in that place, was enough to kill the...
Read moreMy husband had a fly in food. He had already eaten most of it and BOOM huge disgusting dead fly smothered in sesame sauce stares back at him. That's gross! The waitress was very sweet but the manager, she seemed bothered by the fact he wanted to speak to her. In fact, she continued talking at the bar with one of the regulars for 5 minutes after the waitress notified her of what happened and that we wanted to speak to them. Even without considering the fly, which the restaurant did take care of the whole tab (still disgusting), the ambiance is lacking to say the least; it's a dive bar with tables for eating and a huge sectional couch for sitting and eating, just like at home I guess. The menu is mostly hamburgers and sandwiches and not Asian food, so no miso or soup options at all no sushi at all, and a total of 6-8 Asian dishes to choose from; odd for an Asian restaurant. The sesame chicken had a fly and the teriyaki chicken was mediocre. There was some guy laying on a daybed or couch in the back by the restrooms watching his computer as though he was at home.... weird. Seems like a place for happy hour drinks and regulars. I would never recommend...
Read moreFirst of all, it took over an hour to get my food and I literally ordered a sandwich. To go, at 3:00 p.m., in advance... It still took me over an hour to get my food after I was told it would take 20 minutes. I sat at the bar waiting and they kept coming and asking me if I needed anything and I just kept telling the I needed my food? Every single one of the waiters told me they were going to go check on it and would come back and just say it's going to be a little bit longer. The food isn't that great. At least what I got. My friend finally came in to see what the holdup was and I told her I was still waiting on my food. She ordered a drink and said it was the worst mix she ever had. I don't remember exactly what she got. The atmosphere is also very dark and dingy. It looks like a biker bar that just started to sell food. Nothing to make it light and inviting. Its always packed so I thought it might be good but I think this place could do so much better. Not to mention it's a little on the pricey side. Even one of their employees came up to me and said it was good food but really expensive so he doesn't...
