Was my first time eating here. First I had a waiter who was new, was unfamiliar with anything on the menu. I had to give numbers for the items. Then I was asked if I wanted chicken, beef or pork on beef salad.. The name of the item has the word "beef" in it.. Then I was asked if I wanted large or small. I got up went to the counter and asked the manager at the time about large and small.. he said the waiter ordered the wrong item for me.. Tom Yum soup instead of Yum Nua.
When my food came, my pad thai was a huge portion, it had good flavor.. could have used more green onion, and bean sprouts, but was over all pretty good. The peanuts were a bit stale and chewy.
I took my beef salad to go. Later that evening I opened the beef salad and discovered there was no salad.. no lettuce, only beef in lime juice, with cilantro, green onion, and cucumber.. I did not see any red onion, and there was no lettuce in the box. Not only that but many places serve it with steamed rice.. Compared to my pad thai this was a small plate.. At first I thought maybe this was an odd version that didnt have lettuce, so I checked the photos of the menu. It says it contains lettuce on the menu.. so then I figured maybe they had put the lettuce it into another container and just forgot to put it in my bag, so I withheld this review until I had a chance to call them the next day.
I called, got hold of the same employee I had spoke with the night before while eating there. Told him about my beef salad not having any lettuce or onion. He said sometimes they do that.. despite the menu saying the item included lettuce. I told him the portion was much smaller.. to which he replied, it was a "salad" so it was smaller.. Beef salad is an entree, it shouldn't be smaller. I've never eaten a beef salad that didnt have lettuce.
As far the beef salad I did receive it was ok.. it had tiny bits of bean sprouts, and a decent amount of chopped tomato. The flavor was decent, but not amazing. I was totally disappointed by the portion size, lack of lettuce, and flavor just being ok..
No offer to correct anything. Had I only ordered the pad thai, I would have given a 4 star review. But the beef salad ruined it, and I eat Thai food often, whether I will return here...
Read moreI hate to give this place 1 star honestly. We got the chicken pad Thai, which was competitively good for this area, the Thai beef salad, which was a little sweet for me bust still good, cheese rolls, which were great, and the spicy salmon roll. So here's the deal...i don't normally order sushi from anywhere besides sushi restaurants, but I did today. The salmon was not tossed in spicy mayo and there was no cucumber or any crunchy veg wrapped with it. Seasoned sushi rice was not used. Looked like they grabbed a hand full of rice from the rice cooker and mashed it on there. Instead of sesame seeds in chili flake on the top, there was Sriracha poured all over the whole roll. As an afterthought, there was container of spicy mayo put in the box with it. This role was the most Bland thing I have ever eaten. The same and had no flavor, the rice had no flavor, and the texture and look if it was just completely off. By all means, order Thai food from this restaurant. Do not touch the sushi. If you normally eat sushi, you will be incredibly disappointed. If you are new to Sushi, you would never try it again from anywhere else. Threw $8 in the trash after I couldn't even eat the first piece. If you are the owner and reading this review, don't have sushi on a menu if you are not going to make it correctly. If you don't have a sushi chef working because it's Sunday, don't sell sushi that day! If you don't have any sushi rice made, don't make...
Read moreI walked in, one of the two girls told me I could seat where ever I wanted. I sit down for about 5 minutes before the owner/manager took a menu to me and asked if I wanted anything to drink. He got me a small glass of un-sweet tea with the smallest piece of lemon which had more peel than lemon. Then he asked me if I needed more time to choose from the menu to which I said yes. Then one the girls comes by my table and asks me if I need something to drink and she answers herself "Oh, you already have a drink" The menu has many choices but it need more pictures of the dishes offered. I saw something that look like lemon grass chicken or at least what I think lemon grass chicken looks like and I asked the waitress if that was lemon grass chicken? and she said yes without the seeds on top. I order that, but to my surprise I got pieces of fried chicken steak cut in top of the vegetables and cup with sweet sauce on the side and one scoop of white rice. The portion is medium the cost about $11 and the tea $2.50. The chicken had not flavor. I had high expectations for their food, I hope they fix their menu, train their waitresses, and add flavor...
