Pan & Coffee, nestled in the Stone Oak area, is a delightful gem that's worth seeking out. As soon as you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked goods and exciting food specials fills the air, tempting your taste buds. However, I was on a mission to try their coffee, and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the salted caramel latte with three espresso shots, and it was a perfect balance of sweet and salty, with a robust coffee flavor that satisfied my caffeine craving. The baristas clearly know their craft, creating a drink that was both indulgent and energizing. My friend's experience showed off the staff's commitment to customer satisfaction. He ordered tea, expecting it to be iced, but received a hot brew instead. Without hesitation, the staff corrected the order, quickly preparing the iced version he wanted. Their prompt and friendly response turned a potential hiccup into a demonstration of excellent service. One of the cafe's standout features is its lovely patio area. It's a dog-friendly space where well-behaved pups can bring their equally well-behaved owners for a relaxing outdoor experience. This adds to the welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere that Pan & Coffee cultivates. The overall ambiance of the cafe is warm and inviting. Whether you're inside enjoying the bakery aromas or outside on the patio, there's a great atmosphere that makes you want to linger over your drink and perhaps indulge in one of their tempting baked treats. Service throughout our visit was consistently friendly and quick. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, which reflected in their interactions with customers. While I didn't try the food on this visit, the appealing specials and the enticing smell of fresh-baked goods have certainly piqued my interest for a return trip. Pan & Coffee appears to be more than just a coffee shop – it's a community hub where good drinks, tasty food, and a welcoming atmosphere come together. For anyone in the Stone Oak area looking for a great cup of coffee, a pleasant place to relax, or a pet-friendly patio, Pan & Coffee is definitely worth a visit. It's the kind of local spot that makes you glad you came and...
Read moreUpdated Review (04/28/21): They are really starting to get into the groove of things & I am extremely happy to see the improvements. Tera in particular is an absolute delight! She has fantastic customer service skills & definitely made my most recent visit a pleasure.
They are baking much more so even passing by around 2:30 they were still nicely stocked with conchas & breads. Let me just say - their conchas are delicious! The almond amaretto is to die for and I always grab a few when I visit. I've also tried the chocolate concha, pb&j concha & the cinnamon roll and they are all yummy. My only gripe is the pricing. $4.50 per concha is steep and as a regular, it definitely deters me from buying more.
I was thrilled to find out today that they are extending their business hours! They have been closing at 3 which isn't friendly to those who work or those that enjoy coffee outside of morning hours. But guess what - now they will be open until 7pm Tuesday - Friday (closed Mondays), until 6pm on Saturday, and until 3pm on Sundays. I will definitely be taking advantage of these new hours.
Previous review (03/20/21): I have been waiting for this place to open for the longest! Stopped by today with a few friends and while the service isn't quite up to par, the coffee is delicious! They had no conchas left, the kitchen was closed as of 2:30 and all of the staff seemed a bit scatterbrained and overwhelmed. Totally understandable for a new place still trying to get situated, but I definitely hope to see them improve on their service and organization. Now as far as the coffee goes, they are definitely doing something right! We ordered a hot dulce de leche latte & 3 iced brown sugar lattes. DELICIOUS! They have a variety of milk choices - whole & 2% with no upcharge and almond, oat, & coconut milk for $0.75 more. Prices are definitely competitive for Starbucks regulars so that's another plus. Looking forward to being able to try more coffee & some food items on...
Read moreI went here last Sunday because I live nearby and saw it had opened. I looked up the website and called to see if they offered curbside pickup and was told they did not. I went up and stood in line looking over the menu and decided to try an egg sandwich that looked yummy by the description. When I got up to the counter I told them I wanted to place a to go order for that one item and I was told it would take over 40 minutes before it was ready. The girl even checked with the kitchen to make sure that was correct.
I was not about to wait 40 minutes for an egg sandwich and so I thought I would get a coffee. I asked for advice on what was really good and she recommended a "brown sugar latte" I think it was called. I also decided to order a pastry that I saw when I came in but decided to pass on initially. I told her I would take an almond concha and grabbed that on the way out when I got my coffee.
Their menu looked interesting and I would like to try a few things, but the wait time was ridiculous so I would definitely go on a weekday when it's maybe off hours until hopefully they'll speed up service once the newness wears off. The coffee that was recommended to me was absolutely fabulous and not to mention it looked pretty! I'm not a big fan of conchas in general but I was hungry and thought I would try it. It was flaky and crusty on the outside with little chunks of hardened sugar, but the inside was soft and delicious and tasted like an almond pastry. I would recommend those two items simply because that was the only thing I had in both were very good!!
I'll still give them five stars even though the way it was ridiculous because they did just open up a few weeks ago. Hopefully when I go back things will be a little...
