I would highly recommend Ruby City Art Museum to anyone looking for some really cool art. Whether it be to stay out of the heat, or to check out some local and contemporary art pieces. I do have to add that this experience is completely free of charge and it is a great resource to visit. This is my second time visiting, and since my last visit around 2022 there have been lots of changes such as news exhibits which I love because it keeps things fresh. The theme for now is the art of waterways and it’s really interesting to try to see what you can interpret from each art work. If you feel like you have questions there are staff members in stand by who are very helpful and polite in informing you. I came with my boyfriend on Friday morning and it honestly felt like we had rented out the whole museum for ourselves because it was very empty. This will make for a great art museum date and don’t forget to check out the small park they have across the...

Such a great place for art. Went twice and had a really pleasant experience the first time. Friendly folks at the main building and the studio! Second time I brought some friends who hadn't been since the first time was pleasant. We started at the studio and the woman working there just said hi and continued talking to two other ladies. When my friend got close to the mirror piece she snapped and yelled at him twice to not touch it and continued talking to the other two folks. Complete 180 from the gentleman we had on the first visit who informed us nicely not to touch the exhibit right when we came in. Put a damper on the evening until we went to the main building where the folks working there were...

It sounds like a wonderful place, but they’re still living in fear and fear mongering the community requiring masks in the month of May 2022. I believe in the constitutional right to decide if you want to mask or not at this point. I spoke to Randy over the phone to book a visit, and he communicated that it was internal policies. I hope they lift the mask requirement many of us have fought to remove from numerous business owner mask nazis, and I hope it’s soon because they’re late in retracting from this excessive imposition. I’d love to take my kids to visit when they finally grant us our freedoms back. Please let me know down the road when that may...

San Antonio is known as "Where the West Begins." This theme is fully explored at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. Texas cowboys, pioneer wagon drivers, and generations of indigenous Native Americans come together through a rich collection of sculptures, paintings, and artifacts, bringing to life the culturally diverse era of the past. San Antonio is home to many excellent museums, each with its own unique themes and exhibitions. Ruby City Art Gallery focuses on contemporary art, while the San Antonio Museum of Art boasts 30,000 pieces, including a significant collection of Chinese and Asian cultural artifacts. Of course, there’s no shortage of local Texas art. The Witte Museum, with its focus on nature and science, is a favorite for family visitors. #Lifestyle #SanAntonio #Museums #ArtAndCulture #Travel

Absolutely loved this art museum. The pieces were amazing and thought provoking. There were all different types of contemporary art: collages, paintings, sculptures and more. I loved the artists’ use of unconventional materials as well as the sociopolitical messages portrayed in their work. The staff was very warm and helpful. You could tell they cared about patrons having a good experience as well as preserving the art and keeping it in its best condition. There was a very relaxed atmosphere. If you have time, also check out the garden and studio across the street. Those were worth the visit as well! Best part, it was all completely free. :)
