I visited PM Tacos y Cocktails to grab some breakfast tacos for my 7 year old daughter and I. I ordered 3 tacos. 2 barbacoa and 1 bacon and egg. All on flour. When I received my tacos I noticed all of them were on corn tortillas and what was supposed to be a bacon and egg taco had what looked like a piece of ham in it. You can clearly see from the picture I uploaded that this is indeed ham and not bacon. When I brought this up to Karen, she told me that my tortillas were actually flour and tried to make it seem like I was wrong when she hadn't even looked at the tacos. I then told her about the ham and she told me that their bacon is like that. I told her that is not bacon but actually ham and that my picky eater would not eat it. Karen still insisted it was bacon and would not stop arguing over it to make it seem like I was wrong. If they did not have bacon in the kitchen to begin with, she could have told me before hand, or once the cook realized they didnt have bacon she could have resolved the issue by letting me know they wouldnt charge me for a taco I did not want.
From all of the reviews people seem to be happy with this place but just from the short interaction I had with Karen, I will not be coming back to this place where she tried to make me seem like I was crazy and in the wrong when all could have been resolved with a simple apology.
Never coming back...
Read moreI was very hopeful about having a cocktail and tacos place so near to home, but this restaurant was a disappointment in many ways. My wife liked her paloma and enchiladas poblanos, but that's the end of the good.
Service was very slow — we stood around in the front of the fairly small restuarant for a few minutes before even seeing a staff member who then sat us. Once we were sat, we still had to wait quite a while for our server to come to our table in a restaurant with only two other tables occupied. Then the cheese dip — there's a reason they don't call it queso, which is that it's only similarity to queso is its yellow color. My frozen house margarita "twist" with strawberry flavoring got all clumped up and difficult to drink. The four mini tacos al pastor were fairly expensive at $18, but to be fair they did pile on the toppings. The downside is that none of those topoings were all that good and the meat was pretty room temperate despite the very hot tortillas they were on. Service remained slow and we had to wait quite a while to be offered the check after we were given a to go box, despite being the only table left in the restaurant.
The restaurant is also just strange and laid out awkwardly. Thoroughly disappointed in what PM Tacos & Cocktails...
Read moreWe had seen that the restaurant had a 4.9 rating on Google so we decided to go since we were in the area. We entered and seated ourselves and it was, at the least, 5 min before even seeing any employees. Our waitress was nice and profesional. The tuna tiradito was good but the cheese dip was not. The cheese tasted like it came from a can, the salsa dip was bland and the chips were a bit on the undercooked side. I really liked the Baja Mahi taco but the Pulpo taco was the opposite. The flavors didn’t go well together and the octopus was overcooked. The Mole enchiladas were tasty, a bit on the sweet side but the chicken was a little dry and the flavor didn’t go well as if it came from another dish and the rice was dry. Finally, the Pera al vino was very good. Vanilla ice cream with pistachio dust and a half a pear in what tasted like a cinnamon wine sauce. We paid $63 for our meals and I didn’t hate it but I also don’t think it was...
