Amazing new restaurant took my wife there for her birthday lunch. Such a wonderful experience. The owners were both able to come out and speak to us which made the experience so much better.
We started with the focaccia bread and the mussels. D bread came with a whip ricotta With a small arugula salad and spme cured meat. The whipped feta in meat complemented the bread so well. The real star are appetizers. Was the muscles it came in Tomato broth.Which I could have drank a entire gallon in one setting. It came with an aolid drizzle which to me felt odd but it complimented the dish so we'll. (Learned to always trust the chef He knows what he is doing)
For our entrees we split the chicken parm sandwich and their version of a supreme pizza. The sandwich Ford's bread came on a garlic knot which was so pretty.I was too intimidated to eat it.I ate it and it was one of the best things I put in my mouth and a long time. The pizza came with their housemaid dough. The sauce for the pizza was something from out of this world. It was not overpowering , it complemented all the toppings and the dough perfectly. The? Cheese pull looked like it was something from a cartoon where it would never end it was so Is comical and amazing to witness.
My wife had a lemoncello margarita. She said every time we come in that will be her go to cocktail. I had the Southside SA. Which was very light and refreshing.
To end our experience , they brought out one of their house made desserts. Oh dear God, my wife is a baker and she is a huge critic when it comes to desserts. I think I was able to take 1 bite by the time she finished it. Kudos to the baker they have. Heck kudos to everyone, yall are killing it.
Ten out of ten will be back...
Read moreMy fiancée and I were very excited to try this new place in San Antonio, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. After seeing the delicious videos on the Instagram page, I couldn't wait to go try out the food. While the food was decent, the service was not up to the multiple online reviews and personal reviews from friends. While our waiter was very pleasant, it took over 45 minutes for us to receive our appetizers. I do understand a reasonable wait period when dining in, but the restaurant was not very busy, as it was 6:45 on Saturday. When 7:30 rolled around and we had barely begun to eat our appetizers, we decided to cancel our main (pizza) since we had plans afterwards that we would be late to. Not 5 minutes after cancelling our pizza, the manager came out, pizza in hand. We were told that another waiter had run our items to different tables, and that caused the delay. The manager was very nice and comped our food; we still paid for our alcohol. However, I doubt I will return to this restaurant because of the wait time between ordering appetizers to receiving appetizers, which was over 45 minutes. As a person who has 5+ years of experience working in the food-service industry, I know that the amount of time from ordering an appetizer to getting the appetizer to the table should not exceed 15 minutes, maximum. We were very disappointed in...
Read moreThis place is so delicious! My husband tried this place out for date night and it was absolutely amazing. We ordered the calamari, which was a solid 7/10. We love super crispy calamari and this one, although good, wasn’t as crispy as we’d like. The Cesar salad is yummy, just a bit more sweeter than tangy. The cheese ravioli is THE BEST I’VE EVER HAD. I’m usually a savory meat girl, but the ravioli and asparagus with mushrooms —my gosh. I’m ordering that every time. The steak and risotto was also absolutely delicious. We tried different drinks and my favorite was the Carajillo. Order it with dessert!!! My husband is a red cab guy, and they didn’t have any, but he tried the Valpolicella wine and really liked it. We also tried the Southside SA (9/10), an espresso martini (7/10), and a cucumber martini (9/10). The carajillo was the best I’ve had in SA. 10/10 for sure. We sat at the bar and it was great. Customer service is amazing and the food is fresh and delicious. Can’t wait...
