MUST GO!!!
We loved loved LOVED it here!!!
Great Food, Amazing Service, and over all Spectacular place!!!! HIGHLY recommend!!
We work nights so we get up later than most, so when we decided to do a cute date day with a sandwich shop or cafe, most were closed. This lovely shop however was still open till 6, which we got there at 5- we felt really bad and were worried since we were cutting it close- but the second we walked through the door we were immediately greeted by (Arthur? That was the name on the receipt I believe) the gentleman with the cool orange glasses. Not only were we greeted, but he immediately striked up conversation with us about how he used to own a snow cone shop and it was very endearing. He was already wiping down the inside of the back, pre-closing- so I was still worried since we were literally the only ones in there on a late Thursday- but that didn’t deter him one bit. He continued to recommend and talk about the menu until we decided. Which ofc he continued to talk with us throughout the whole process.
We sit down and as we’re waiting for the food (which is FRESH) we notice how clean it is! Like- dusted clean. They also have a 100 from the health inspector!
Then- The food arrives (by the sweet and amazing Arthur ofc) and you guys- So GOOD!!!
I got the Herb Royale while my partner got the special of the day- a spicy Philly sandwich (each with a side salad) and it was all sooooooo good!!! Even just the dressing for the salads, much less the actual sandwiches.
When my partner took a bite of my sandwich he was so jealous haha- and not because his was bad or anything (after he finished his he actually had a tummy ache because he finished it so fast because “it was so good” lol)- but he said mine was the “best sandwich he’s ever had!” haha.
Throughout our time eating Arthur came to check on us multiple times, while also recommending their special chocolate chip brownies. There was also some regulars who came in who we originally thought were either fellow coworkers or family/friends from how friendly they were with each other.
The food was also incredibly filling- like I said my partner had a tummy ache afterwards haha and I took mine home (which I just had as a leftovers and it was good reheated as well!) (make sure to wrap in damp paper towels depending on what it is ). We haven’t tried the brownie yet unfortunately- because we were so full- but we just had to get it because Arthur kept talking about it and even mentioned how the chef was saying they looked extra good today. He even asked us if we wanted a side, corner, or center piece!!! Even though we haven’t tried it, it felt and smelled like it would be amazing- I don’t even like brownies that much but I can’t wait to eat it!
When we left even the chef wished us a good day along with Arthur!! It was so sweet and kind of even the BOH to wish us well and we were able to compliment his food in kind- because he definitely deserved all the compliments.
So- sorry for the incredibly long review- if anyone else ever takes the time to actually read it lol- but just know this place is a must-go, for both the exceptional food and service. We are so appreciative of Arthur and the chef that started our date day with such an adoring and rememberable start. Thank you guys- we will definitely be coming back when we can, and recommending it to everyone haha. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!...
Read moreno pics because I was too hungry to bother We stopped by Sandwich de Paris (SDP) after a medical appointment and were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The cafe is located off of Louis Pasteur in the medical center area. There's plenty of parking, though the parking lot did seem crowded during the lunch hour when we went. It seems like employees no longer bother to greet customers these days, so the hearty welcome we received—complete with a detailed explanation of the menu and specials—was a nice change of pace. Throughout our visit, the employee taking care of the front of the house cleaned, bussed tables, and engaged everyone who walked in or out of the restaurant, asking everyone how they enjoyed their food. The same employee took our order and was still courteous, personable, and authentically engaging. You could tell he enjoyed being there and assisting customers. My husband ordered the Tribbiani wrap, which was their special, with butternut squash soup. He devoured the wrap (loaded with three types of deli meat) and the soup in record time. He did say that the butternut squash soup tasted more like chicken stock than anything, but it may have been an ingredient he couldn't identify. He enjoyed it regardless. I ordered the tsukemono sandwich with a side salad dressed with balsamic vinaigrette. The grilled sirloin was tossed in a soy marinade and was tender and juicy. The meat was topped with tomato, cilantro, pickled veggies, red onion and aioli on a soft baguette. I asked for an additional cup of pickled veggies because I felt the sandwich needed some acidity to balance the sweetness of the marinade on the meat and the aioli. I would love to see the option to add thinly sliced jalapeños or maybe a kimchi option (though I know I'm venturing into another cuisine with that suggestion). Maybe add some heat in the form of chili sauce or toss the pickled veggies in nuoc cham to stay true to the overall vibe of the sandwich. The balsamic vinaigrette on my salad was too thick and sweet for my preference. I would prefer a thinner vinaigrette with more balsamic. It leaned more towards a ranch or Caesar dressing thickness and less towards a vinaigrette consistency. This hearty lunch for two (with bottles of TopoChico and Fanta) was around $30 with a tip. I highly recommend SDP if you're in the area, and even if you're not in the area, I recommend swinging by to check out their food. In a day when customer service and good food in a clean establishment are few and far between, this gem needs to be appreciated...
Read moreMy wife and I like to frequent local restaurants in town and were debating on where to have lunch. My wife wanted a sandwich but we were broken on where to go. Eventually we let Google help us out a bit and came across Sandwich De Paris. This has been by far one of my favorite finds ever! Walking in we were warmly greeted and immediately felt welcomed, although it was their peak hour, the individual at the counter took his time in helping us through the Menu and even allowing us to taste the soup of the day! They were so patient and kind with us and that meant everything to us seeing as how it was our first time being here. I ordered the Cheesesteak and I have to say this was probably the best cheesesteak I've ever had! If you're looking for a quick lunch with a positive, inviting atmosphere I highly recommend swinging by and checking it out! As for the individual at the counter, running around the whole place running food and spreading happy positive energy towards everyone I thank you! Arthur, Sorry for mentioning you on the review but just need you to know that you made an impact on our day and we will be coming back in the near future. As for the owner of this sandwich shop, thank you for what you've created here, keep up the great work, sandwiches are amazing, soup was amazing, and the atmosphere is the best! You're a master at your craft my friend and we wish you nothing but blessings and for your sandwich shop to flourish even further than...
