STOP-N-GO GYROS — Restaurant in San Antonio

I love Mediterranean cuisine! And this is definitely one place I would definitely recommend. While there tzatziki sauce is average (honestly had better) the rest of the food makes up for it. They have good size portions for the prices of their entrees and plates. Their Greeks fries are super delicious! And their Original Gyro's are amazingly good. I'm not sure if this is a privately owned business, but it does give off a mom and pop vibe and I did enjoy the ambiance it gave off. The staff was very patient with me while I figure out what I wanted. I was so hungry I had no idea what I wanted to order, so I was all over the place. 😂🤪 But guy the tender to me definitely stook with me and never gave off a vibe of hurry up and order already. So I definitely tip him for that! ☺️ I also noticed that a gentleman came in to order and he was greeted by name and familiarity, so it seems like they have their usual clients and they definitely remember who their are and I like that. That says a lot about a restaurant, it gives off a vibe of caring staff that pays attention to their customers. The only thing I didn't really care for was their falafel 🧆 (aka meatballs as my daughter called them 😂) . They were a bit dry and stale in taste and just seem off from other restaurants I have had. Wouldn't recommend trying those not worth the money. Overall this restaurant is definitely a go to place for great Greek Mediterranean food. For 5 ppl I spent about an average of $60 that's including taxes and tip. Not bad I would say with the amount of food I order which believe me it was a lot. But no drinks.

Update: visit #3 You may call it monotony. I call it consistency. Each time I've come back to the #9 (gyro fries). Each time, it's the same amazing flavors, same friendly service, and same great experience! Kudos! Update: visit #2 -had to try the #9 again. Soooo good! I do want to try other menu items but the Gyro fries called me back again. Same great service, food, and mood! We've been meaning to stop by here for a while and finally made it in for some takeout today. Great place! The restaurant is very clean and posts a 💯 on their health inspection certificate. Twas a night that nobody wanted to cook and lo and behold like a light in the darkness we thought about this place. We had driven by many times and thought to try it out sometime. That sometime came way too late because we should have come here years ago to experience the goodness of it. The five star reviews are too low, Google should make a 6 star specifically for this place :). Are you listening Google? Of course you are....always listening to everything everyone ever says.
