I showed up at 8:10 PM to this sonic location across from HEB. I pressed the order button, then sat here for about 10 minutes while no one answered. I pushed it again and finally someone takes my order. The lady was very rude and didn’t seem to understand anything I was ordering. Fast forward 30-40 minutes and my food still hasn’t arrived. At 9PM I pressed the button again and told the guy that my order had been forgotten, as the cars next to me who came AFTER, we’re receiving their food. He comes out to my car, and tries to take my order. No notepad, no screens, no anything. He tried to just memorize everything I was saying and when I saw the confusion on his face I asked him to go back inside and properly take my order. I tell him what I want, and he correctly repeats it back to me, and when the order FINALLY comes out, ITS WRONG. It is around 9:15 at this time, so I’ve been here over an hour. Some FAST FOOD. I couldn’t believe it. I decided not to send it back, because I don’t trust what an angry employee may do to my food. So I continue eating and sure enough EVERYTHING was cold. Fries, chicken, burger, all feel like they came out of the fridge. I will never, in my entire life, come back to this location. Didn’t even bother asking for a manager, because I’m sure he is no good if this is how all his employees...
Read moreDon’t waste your time. We’ve been to 4 different Sonics in the last two months and they all have the WORST customer service. This one is certainly no exception. Showed up when it was raining incredibly hard. We attempted to make our order at a covered stall at 949pm. The stalls clearly state they are in use until 10pm. We parked right in front of the building so whoever brought our food wouldn’t have to step foot in the rain. When the person started speaking through the kiosk I couldn’t hear them very well at all over the rain and they made no attempt to speak louder until I stated several times I cannot hear them. We then witness them walk over to the glass door that goes into their store, stare at us, and inform us that we cannot order through the stall. Still had 9-10 minutes until 10pm. Fine. I drove to the drive-thru menu only to leave immediate because the second I cracked my window the down-pouring rain started soaking the inside of our car and me within seconds. You’re wrong to not allow me to use the kiosk in the covered stalls when they’re clearly still open and there multiple cars in other stalls. And aside from that it’s even worse that you’d try to force me to order in the pouring rain when there was a VERY viable alternative. I’d give you ZERO stars if I could. We’re sick of Sonics...
Read moreWe pulled into the covered stalls at 9:49 pm, the one closest to the building so that the employee wouldn’t have to walk in the absolute downpour to bring us food. The sign right next to the order button says that ordering through the stall is available until 10:00 pm. The employee spoke barely above a whisper to tell us we needed to order through the drive thru. Once we were able to make out what she said over the thunder and heavy rain, we went to the drive thru and tried to crack our window only to be immediately pelted with rain, so we left.
We showed up within the timeframe to order in the covered stall and parked close to make sure the employees wouldn’t get wet at all. What’s even more frustrating is that the employee peeked out the door at us (only about ten feet away from her) before she responded to us, so she could even see how close we were and the completely dry and clear path between us. When we told her what time it was, and she just repeated that we needed to go through the drive thru.
There is so much good and cheap fast food on Potranco, so it doesn’t make sense to turn away customers at the stall when the only unique thing Sonic offers is the convenience of ordering and eating...
