Subway — Restaurant in San Antonio

2.7 on YELP, 3.9 ON Google. Our experience was the 2.7.

I think it's fair to say, if you go to a Subway you know the quality of the meal. For us always good. Can't remember having a bad meal, due to the standardization of the restaurant.

That leaves two things. Ambiance, cleanliness and another check. Actually a really nice establishment.

So, that leaves service and I fully now understand the 2.7 rating. Ouch, the two young ladies had the personality of......, well NOTHING. ZERO personality. Talking to you when making the sandwiches. We both had to repeat ourselves several times. When we came in, we told them how nice and clean the place was.

"Nothing"

Oh subway you have your hands full, not sure if training will do these two any good. Service, caring, wanting to create a good experience is in your DNA. I had 30 plus years in hospitality and not sure if you can turn this boat.

Shame, ✅ off two of the three..... But no matter how good the meal is, if you don't feel welcomed, we go back?

I ordered two subs online and went in for pick up at 1:34 PM - 3/2/2020 There were two girls working at the time, when I got home I noticed one of my subs wasn’t made correctly, so I called the location and as I tried to explain what had happened with my online order, the girl who answered the phone kept cutting me off “WELL ONLINE IT SAID THAT SOOO..” look, I understand. I was just very kindly trying to explain that something went wrong with ordering it online and that I would like to come back in and get it replaced. That is all. She had such a horrible attitude. So anyway I get back to that particular location to have it remade and the other girl remade it for me. She was very nice. However the other girl on the phone kept making unnecessary comments! such a horrible attitude to have. if you’re miserable at your job then just don’t...

It was dead, girl emerges from back visibly perturbed. Very short: when asked for veggies she just throws them on the sandwich. Purses her lips when I ask for salt/pepper and dressing. I had been there before and she and her lookalike friend/sister were very friendly toward male guests. Again, very short with me. I suppose they're the kind of girls that hate other women for no reason. They are not personable in the least and ruin my appetite. Even at the slowest, I never saw either of them come out to clean dirty tables. I'm sure whatever they were watching on their phones was more important than keeping the place. Went a third time and a different face took care of, I think her name was Katherine. She was incredibly friendly and informative. I'd rate 5 stars for her but I encounter the other two...
