I've been going here when I was in College 4 years ago. And went in to Dine in again a month ago with my 4 yo when my appt was close by to this restaurant and spent 80$ including 10$ tip. And I came back with my fam today after we went to Top golf, so my mom can try the crawfish and mussels dynamite that I like going in here for. 3 adults 3 kids. Ages 4's and 9. Apparently they would charge you gratuity for 20% when its party of 6. Our total bill came up almost 190$ ish. 32$ goes to the waitress. Something I wasn't aware of. 20$ tip atleast is a decent tip since the 4yo can make a mess like dropping food. The sodas were flat. & it's not like the service is outstanding and very welcoming we literally have to ask for everything. I have served food too and I know. Tips shouldn't be like that. You're demanding money without their knowledge. What if people have only ENOUGH money to eat outside because they don't have time to cook because of the kids? Tips should be base on how we are served. We dont keep asking to refill our drinks. Ice water is very light ice that it melted right away while waiting for appetizer. I understand tipping is a common practice but giving a tip is not expected and not legally required. The amount of the tip is always at the discretion of the customer. What if my I spend 500$ of our dinner tonight and had ordered to go? That would mean 100$ tip for the waitress when It's only 3 adults and 3 kids who barely ate. That's ridiculous. Not...
Read morean incredibly disappointing experience at sushi seven today. While I can understand that Sundays might be unexpectedly busy and staffing issues happen, there is no excuse for the complete lack of basic customer service. Simple things like checking if customers are enjoying their food, offering soy sauce, ginger, or extra plates, and being attentive to refills are pretty much bare minimum expectations at any restaurant, especially one of this size.
The male manager was completely blind to both customer needs and his struggling staff. He aimlessly wandered around without ever acknowledging guests, ensuring they had what they needed, or even making eye contact. When he dropped off our food, he didn’t confirm if the order was correct or if we needed anything, he simply walked away!
It was honestly one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. We waited forever to be greeted and then waited even longer to get our food. We honestly just thought about cancelling and leaving but unfortunately we made the wrong decision by deciding to stick it out. Then we were trapped for even longer period to cash out.
Not a single acknowledgement from anyone, manager again just turns a blind eye.
Really poor service and I won’t...
Read moreI was in the area, looking for a new place to eat lunch. I tried this place for the first time today, 6/1/2022. It’s located in a nice shopping center in Stone Oak. It’s small, cozy, and clean and has an inviting ambience with lots of natural light from the windows. I was immediately greeted with a smile from the hostess as I walked in and was seated. I had the vegetable gyoza as an appetizer, which was fried lightly and crisp and the dipping sauce was flavorful. The green salad was fresh and plentiful with a couple of slices of tomato and cucumber slices, plenty of greens and shredded carrots and a side of ginger dressing. I already knew just with those two dishes that the rest of my meal would be just as good. I ordered the Lennon Pepper Tuna Roll which was fresh, tasty and delicious. I also ordered the salmon skin hand roll which I love for the crunchiness of the salmon skin and all the ingredients came together well. I was happily pleased with my new experience here. I hate spending $$ on a meal that isn’t good, so I usually stick to what I know. I’m glad I tried this place, everything was fresh and delicious!! I regret not taking pics!! I just...
