So, normally I love Urban Bricks. The food is great, it's fast, it's well priced and MOST of the time the staff is great.
However, the experience we just had, led to us leaving before the order was even finished. My wife, my daughter and I came in and there was some people but it wasn't crazy. We let a few people go ahead of us while we decided what we wanted. Once we had our order together we got in line and a lady came over with a big smile and started to take our order. So far so good.
She took my daughter's order, she started to take my wife's order and before she finished telling the lady she turns and walks a few steps to do something with the bread. Literally as my wife was mid sentence. She then notices a customer standing behind me, and starts to have a conversation with her. This goes on for a couple of minutes. Not just a "Hey, how are you, talk to you in a second"... No this went on long enough to know she saw her daughter the other day, it was her last day, she's going somewhere else, over on 78, no it's another place yadda yadda yadda...
She then goes back to the bread, with not even saying BOO to us... No "sorry about that, was there anything else"; no "let me just finish taking care of this dough and I'll be back with you"... Nothing...
The lady behind us was the only one who even seemed concerned we were leaving now...
So, we'll be waiting awhile before we go back...
Very annoyed at the poor...
Read moreI've been coming here since they opened, I've also been ordering the same pizza for about a year. Tonight i ordered the gluten free pizza with bacon, same as usual. Ordered online, picked it up. Got in the car and had a bad feeling so i checked my order. Took one bite out of a silce of pizza and it was disgusting!!!! Went back inside to let them know this was not gluten free and it was also super doughy. The nice young guy behind the counter said "im so sorry let me make another" looked for the dough and looked back at me and said "oh you know what we haven't had gluten free all day" i said no problem i would like a refund. The women ringing the couple up looked over and said "no this is gluten free i make the dough, i can not refund you" I asked the young man for my pizza back and left. The older women was very rude and as long as she is working I will not be coming back!!
I got home and put my pizza in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. It was not burnt or anything. It was no longer doughy either. Maybe if the women had listened when I was it needed to go back in the oven longer, this wouldn't have been a issue.
My main concern is was there gluten free dough today or not?? Were just not wanting to give me my money back?? Either way I will be taking my...
Read moreFor all the customers that feel like an inconvenience, I totally agree. That phrase is present way too many times on this list of reviews. I took my family in today and we overheard an Indian employee, who stated he was a district manager, harassing a customer. He was rushing around frantically, despite only about 8 customers being in the place, and was talking to her like he couldn't stand it being her first visit. It was ours too so we didn't mind taking a minute to figure out their unique ordering process. He was completely rude the entire time and even yelled to her across the room. She confronted him finally, mentioned all the signs stating their desire for yelp reviews, and asked if he was a manager. He said he "wasn't big on reviews" and that it seems "only the 'negative people' post reviews", then said he was a DM. Urban Bricks, if you want your business to survive, you have to get that kind of person out before they ruin your reputation and your hopes of turning a profit. Or get the guy some sort of professional help...
And I guess I'll mention that I didn't get his name so a description...
