Very disappointed. Iâve used this location for oil changes for both my cars and my wifeâs cars- for years.
My wife went today and had the oil changed on her 2011 Audi Q5. We decided to get an oil change before we headed out of town for a few days. On the way there, we kept hearing a scraping sound. It wasnât constant, but it was consistent. We actually thought it may have been the brakes. We had them replaced a little while ago.
When we pulled into our hotel, thatâs when we saw what had happened. On that vehicle, you have to remove a piece of underlayment to get to the oil filter. The underlayment is a very large piece, and is made of heavy plastic. And itâs an Audi- so the piece is very expensive.
You can see where this going. When they reinstalled the underlayment piece, they failed to secure it to the vehicle. Unacceptable. If there were plastic clips involved, they arenât there.
As a result, weâre now pretty far away from home, with a vehicle that has a huge dragging piece of plastic underneath of it. And even if we are able to find clips for an Audi on a Saturday, the piece itself will need to be replaced. Itâs torn, and wonât function as a shield as it is intended to be used.
And it wonât be inexpensive to replace that piece.
Again, Iâm very disappointed. This shouldnât happen to anyone. Now Iâm pretty far from this store, with out of pocket costs to fix this mess looking at me.
Update 7/25/18:
Thanks for the response.
I did speak with the assistant manager at the location via phone on Monday afternoon (7/23/18). He said he would talk to his boss (the manager), and get back with me. I did leave him my phone #. Didnât hear anything yesterday. Havenât heard anything yet today.
I guess I can call again later this afternoon when Iâve got a few minutes. I kinda figured that the ball was in your court at this point.
Ordinarily, I wouldâve called about the issue the same day- but by the time we got to where we were going for the weekend, it was after hours. And the whole point of getting away for a few days was to unplug and disconnect for a few days. In other words, had we been in SA for the weekend, I wouldâve contacted you guys on Saturday (the day after the oil change).
Looking forward to resolving...
Read moreHighly disappointed with the lack of professionalism of this store recently! I have taken my vehicles to this site over 12 years now, but over the past few months, I have NEVER experienced such poor Customer Service from a staff and Management. The first time I went there for an Motorcycle Inspection, I waited for close to an hour, as I saw the Manager direct several cars to move around to different bays. Unfortunately, this resulted in a lot of chaos, because cars were backing up and moving around to other service bays. A few Customers that had been waiting longer than me, showed signs of confusion since they showed up sooner than the cars being placed in the front. I mentioned this problem to the Manager and he responded, âI got thisâ! Therefore, I waited several minutes longer and watched numerous other cars that showed up after me, continually depart. It wasnât until about 45min to an hour later, I finally received my Inspection paperwork and left. I thought about leaving sooner, however I kept telling myself it would not be much longer, as I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then, yesterday morning, I drove to get another one of my cars Inspected at the same Valvoline location in Stone Oak, since there were âZEROâ cars waiting in the line, as the shop had just opened. The same Manager and another staff worker was there in the Bays, one opening up boxes, while the Manager stood behind the computer desk. The shop was already opened for business, as I waited in my car for a good 5min with no other car I the parking lot. Frustrated again for waiting, I decided to leave and drive down to Take 5 Oil Change Shop, 1604/Stone Oak. Luckily, Take 5 Oil Change Shop was totally opposite in dealing with Customers. I received GREAT Customer Service by both worker and Manager. The Managerâs name was Christopher, and did not hesitate in providing a friendly smile and immediate assistance. Therefore, even though I have patronized Valvoline of Stone Oak for over 12 years, I will no longer take my cars or motorcycle for ANY services to this location! Take 5 Oil Change Shop has earned my business and thank you Take 5 the quality...
Read moreCame to get an oil change yesterday. I use this place often and itâs usually fine. This time it wasnât the best, though. The guys doing my oil change were pretty unprofessional and the one that was talking to me had 0 customer service. The one performing the service was a little nicer. I donât mind and actually appreciate some light humor or people enjoying their job and shooting the s* but this was beyond it. Their fun really got in the way of their professionalism and talking about personal things and acting like theyâre saying things quietly then laughing and joking loudly can make people feel uncomfortable. I bought new wipers because mine were old and they put them on after the oil change. I tried it out after they walked away, and one fell right off. No big deal, stuff happens. But I called them back over and they were laughing about it, and didnât say anything to me like âsorry, Iâll get it fixedâ or anything. He started trying to put it back on and I tried it again. Then, the other one popped right off. Repeat another time.. then they were ok, I hope anyway. Time will tell. There was no âthank you have a good dayâ, they didnât even actually tell me they were done with them I had to ask to confirm so I could leave with functional parts. I was super put off by the entire experience. Like I said, Iâve used this place before and it was okay. Nice and respectful employees. But I wonât be back for some time just to...
