This place isnt the place it was 10+ years ago. My family would make it a tradition to go here for a birthday or any kind of celebration. With the new ownership, the folks here don't know how to run a business.

We arrive at 4pm, we are literally the only customers there and my mother wants to sit in their larger round table because we order so much food where we run out of table space.

The waiter tried to tell us to stay at the 4 seater table, and I can tell he felt weird as we tried to sit elsewhere. He took our drink orders and within a few minutes the older female (I assume the owner) comes out and asks us how many people we have. Even though it's obvious how many we have, she tells us that she needs us to sit at the other table. She says they have 6 people coming and we need to move. We are the only customers there. It's a silly thing to start an argument about. We were gonna just leave even if we had placed our order.

It's not their fault their English is very broken. However, they have no business etiquette. The food prices have gotten expensive over the years and the quality of their recipes have gone down as well. It's a shame what happened to this place. It feels awkward here when communicating with the staff because we feel they are mad at us. They've even had multiple disputes with the restaurant next door: Van's Chinese about parking.

This is no longer the place we go to to enjoy a good meal and atmosphere. Instead, we walk on eggshells and have to watch what we say should the owners not be happy with the...

Had lunch at the Viet-Nam restaurant 3244 Broadway. Delicious food, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service!!!!!!!! There were flies buzzing around. We borrowed a fly swatter and killed a few. They brought out our Spring rolls, appetizer. (Delicious). Then brought out what I asked to be put on the side of my entree. Then after awhile brought my entree. Then brought out another order of Spring rolls. We said we only ordered 1 order of Spring rolls, and these are not ours. They set them on our table anyway. Finally brought out my friends entree and someone had already had it and had poured black pepper on it. It had to be taken back by us. And demand a new one be served. We also had to get our own drink refills, water, and napkins. This is a set down be waited on restaurant!!! Then when it came time to pay the bill, they overcharged my meal by $1.00. Reasoning was it was now 10 minutes after 4:00 and the lunch specials end at 4:00. We had been there since 3:00. Then they tried charging us for the second order of Spring rolls that we had not ordered. ($9.00, and their internet menu says they are $7.00) We pay and are in the parking lot ready to take off, when the lady comes out looking for us. She wants us to come back in. I ask if it is to refund our money for such horrible service. Yes, yes. So we go back in. She leads us to our table and then starts pointing out what food would have been on what dishes and starts demanding payment for the Spring rolls that we DID NOT ORDER!!!!. We...

The food was terrific. I'm giving the 2 stars due to service. Make sure you have PLENTY of time because it will take forever to order, get to-go boxes and, and at least 20-30 minutes for the check after requesting it multiple times. Thismily run business or so it appears, which I absolutely love to support. However, my daughter and I stopped in here for some pho. They have 3 pho options and they all looked quite good. We settled on ordering 2 bowls of the #2pho combo, 2 hot teas, and an order of spring rolls, and gave our order to an ancient lady. After 30 minutes we were brought lettuce and cilantro ( never had that served with pho before, but okay) soon after the spring rolls ( they were great) . Finally got 1 cup for hot tea, and 2 bowls of pho. Ate our fill. Asked a young male sever for Togo boxes and he gestured that someone else would get them. Had to ask 3 more times and wait another 30 minutes to ring up our check. All in all we were her for approximately 1.5 hours, while on a very tight time schedule, most of it spent waiting and making multiple requests. IDK if the old lady insist on doing everything her way her self, or if the younger and male employees are just lazy. Btw, there was well more employees than the ancient lady and young male I mentioned . Food is good. Getting out and moving on with the rest of your...

WHAT HAPPENED ? ! ? ! I've been coming for my favorite Spring Rolls for years and this experience has changed my mind about ever going back. I paid $15 for a full order to take out. I ate them as soon as I got home without having to reheat them. The ends were so HARD and CHEWY. That same night, I took back the order and showed the elder Asian lady the bits I could not chew but she was unimpressed and didn't want to try to understand what I was saying (as we did not speak each other's language). I told the waiter that even the sauce tasted different and not in a good way. Neither of them seemed to believe me so I didn't even bother to tell them that the fortune cookie tasted OLD and STALE. Later that night, my stomach was really NAUSEOUS for about 2.5 hours. I went back 2 days later for the replacement and the elder lady was so RUDE to me. When she saw me and I said hello, she looked down to resume what she was working on. Then she walked to the kitchen without acknowledging that I was there. The cook came out and told me he makes the rolls himself and that I should not reheat them in a microwave (which I never have). They only gave me HALF AN ORDER!!! I guess they assumed, since I ate some, they would not replace those. I'm not going back unless they get new management.

Firstly my wife & I have been coming here for over 25 yrs. The original owners had it down. The following ones have had a steady decline in quality & service. Metrohealth score was (79/C). We keep giving them another chance, over & over again. But they keep falling short. We paid $33 at lunch for what looks like leftover old Spring Rolls (see pic), dry & flavorless Chicken lemongrass with a minute amount of lemongrass, & fried rice that tasted of cardboard - again flavorless. The food seemed like they served us the leftovers from a lunch plate someone didn't finish. It was so sloppily served. The waiter was apathetic in his demeanor. We had to ask for lettuce and cilantro which is always served w/ spring Rolls. It seemed like the waiter realized we were familiar with what to expect. Then he started wanting to please, sensing it would affect his tip. We advise you to save your money. We are tired of expecting better from owners who think mediocre is good enough. To top it off, I have gone to the bathroom 3 times this morning. That says a lot about the food quality. I will say no more.

10/10 on the spring rolls. I’m sure everything else is bomb but for me, it’s the rolls! I dare you to find me a better spring roll in the city. You won’t. You can’t. These are the best! I’ve been coming here since I was young and it’s always been consistent. I know these rolls are going to be delicious every time! The fish sauce has to be homemade or they’re jazzing up a pre-made but either way I can drink it by the gallon. It’s so good. I’ve tried a lot of fish sauce and most are either too sweet or just don’t have a kick. This one is tangy and it just bursts with flavor. I love it. How they manage to make plain lettuce delicious is beyond me but it goes so well with the sauce and rolls. They’re so generous with the lettuce that I think I’ve probably consumed an entire lettuce head in one sitting. The service is good and friendly although I’ve found it’s just better to order once you get there rather than over the phone.
