Tacos Vitali — Restaurant in San Antonio

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but seeing how unprofessional they acted this afternoon made me never want anyone to have to deal with this. Me and my boyfriend went for lunch (which we were super excited for) and we ordered our meal and drinks. Now i asked my boyfriend specifically for a limonada mineral, it’s what i was craving. And he did, she begans to tell us it would be an additional $3 up charge. Which we had absolutely no problem with. We paid, sat down and got our order but instead of the limonada they give us a Rusa. My boyfriend goes back and tells them we ordered a limonada, NICELY because he’s a sweetheart and does not like drama. But all they did was cause drama and refused to give us the limonada. So i went in there and asked myself, instead they get in my face and say we did not order a limonada. At this point i say I really don’t care what anybody said, just give me the drink we ordered. (Which shouldn’t be a problem considering our meals came with drinks and they up charged for a whole extra drink that i didn’t ask for! AND the limonada is cheaper) So they proceed to go back and forth with themselves, because i’m just so confused at to why they are so upset about a drink. Eventually once they’re done throwing tantrums, the older lady which im assuming is the manager? She puts a limonada in front of me.. or should i say damn near bangs it on the counter, and i say ‘now was it that hard?’ Because these are grown women, arguing with their customers. Me and my boyfriend will not be going to ANY vitali’s anymore because this is now the second time they get something wrong and refused to give it to us, except this time they got out of control. Do better, get better, and i hope ya’ll learn some decent respect.. or at least decent...

I was thrilled when I saw that there was a place selling street tacos near my stomping ground. I decided to give it a try. I went through the drive-thru. They offer one combo with really no choice of what your taco will be.

Combo #1 is a Taco (Quesadilla Mixta; Oaxaca cheese, trompo, and asada meat), Charro Beans, Agua Fresca. $9.99

Combo #2 is a 6 tacos (street tacos), papa asada, charro beans and 2 aguas frescas. $22.99

(very pricey for what you get, in my opinion)

I tried to order Combo #1 but asked the girl- please, NO TROMPO in my taco. She replied that she was unable to accommodate me or do this. She informed me that I would have to order a la carte. I repeated what she said back in disbelief. She casually and unsympathetically said yes. She met let me know that’s not how it works. I was taken aback by her lack of customer service and professionalism. I changed my order to a cup of charro beans and a cup con leche for the sake for being able to try it. I drove up to window. My wait was quite lengthy considering all I had was a cup of beans and arroz con leche. She, finally, came out with my items.

I underwhelmed by the arroz con leche. It has no dimension of flavor. It is just sugar, cinnamon, milk, water and rice- at best. Definitely, not worth what is being charged.

We have visited this place four times this year. The first two times the customer service experience was great, we went through the drive-thru. The next two times we decided to make it a family outing so we went inside to order. Every visit I have been well pleased with the flavor, presentation, and cost of my food. However I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service that we did not receive. To be more specific the young lady at the front counter just turned and looked at us and turned away when we approached the counter. She never said one moment someone will be with you or even acknowledged our presence. Both visits inside we did not feel welcomed at all. The first time it happened, we decided to give them another chance because we do enjoy the food. Unfortunately it happened again yesterday. So moving forward we will not be returning. We will refrain from referring our family or friends to this establishment. I do understand that we all have some off days however when I am spending my hard earned money, I expect above anything good customer service. I will admit that there was a different young lady that finally came up to take our order after standing there for about a minute or so, and she was friendly. I believe it to be unfortunate when a restaurant has the ability to be outstanding but there is a lack in consistent quality customer service. This review is meant for the location 10885...
