If you're coming to Texas/San Antonio for the BBQ experience you've heard about please do not go here for that experience. It is NOT real Texas BBQ. At best its a good version of bill millers. Extremely over hyped and over priced. Not only is the quality less than desirable but the service was almost nonexistent. At one point i thought we just stopped having a waitress. Additionally and this kinda only applies to where we sat, but the music coming out of the plant speaker that was basically under our table was unbearably loud. Apparently so loud our request to turn it down fell upon deaf ears. Also speaking of our table and all tables there, the seats are laughably small. And i cant over sell this point, super uncomfortable and tiny! It would seem that they are designed to make you not want to stay after your meal, due to how unbearably uncomfortable they are. The only plus is the atmosphere (minus the loud music). The river walk especially around the Christmas time is super awesome! This is 100% designed as a tourist spot and in no way should be considered as a legit Texas BBQ establishment. Would not recommend.

Let's start with the positives: location is great! On the Riverwalk with excellent views; there's plenty of sitting: indoor; kid friendly patio, kid friendly deck, and adults bar section. Summer time - plenty of fans with misters. We sat in the kid friendly patio and it was great! The bartender was very attentive, good customer service!. The chicken and links were good, not amazing but overall good. The Mac n cheese however, was even better. Areas for improvement: no outside drinks allowed. If you arrive with drink in-hand and although you plan on ordering more from the establishment, that's frowned upon 🙁. My daughter doesn't like to break rules so she decided to stay out and downed her 24 oz drink. We ordered the family of 4 dinner but unfortunately brisket was dry. It almost seemed as if we got yesterday's batch, it was warmed up and that's why it was dry. This was my personal experience but encourage you to have your own.

The worst experience I have ever had, the manager James is the most disrespectful. I have never encountered someone so rude. He had no type of customer service and came to our table and literally yelled at us in front of customers and told us he wasn’t gonna let us order $1.50 corn. But if we couldn’t order it then why is it on the menu? Me and my boyfriend were consistently ordering margaritas and beer. I had 3 margaritas and my partner had one and was drinking one beer at that moment. My grandma ordered the corn and that’s when he tabbed us out. Everyone in this establishment was only drinking and he decided to tab us out only and said if you don’t like it I will have the cops take you out. He didn’t even allow me to speak and said he didn’t care and if I didn’t like it I could leave. He then had the cops come escort me my partner, my elderly mother, and my elderly grandmother. He didn’t even allow us to finish our drinks or the corn my grandma ordered. My grandma didn’t feel well and he said I don’t care she can walk and eat. What type of manager would say that. The cop even said I’m sorry for that I don’t know why he’s acting that way and told us to wait for our receipt and for my grandma to finish her corn. the waiter apologized awell and said she didn’t know why he was kicking us out if we kept ordering. I felt personally felt racially profiled, everyone in the establishment was Caucasian except for us and we were the only one who got kicked out. When I asked him for the owners information he said we can’t give you anything it’s confidential and I said some sort of information and he ignored me and waived us goodbye. I need the owner to please contact me because having a person this disrespectful work for you will only deter people and I am not okay with the type of service I was given. I will make sure it is known that people shouldn’t come here since it’s obviously a problem to come and get drinks only when it’s advertised that appt hour...

DON'T Waste Your Time or Money on this place!!! I was on my second trip to San Antonio and walking on the Riverwalk around lunch time. We decided to try Smoke. It smelled good and thought, why not try some BBQ in Texas. I'm currently not eating any carbs so I asked if they had any all meat meals. She said they had brisket and asked if I wanted a 1/2 of full pound. I said "let's do the full pound". The soft drink I ordered came out in a child size 8oz kiddie cup, full of ice. The server never came back for a refill until we were all done eating. I got a refill finally after sucking on ice for 15 minutes. (They were NOT in a Lunch rush). I got the bill, it was $57 plus tip (I actually still gave a tip, even though the service was very poor). I will NOT GO BACK THERE, EVER. Terrible value for average food. I don't know why I expected something better, but it wasn't. The attached picture BTW is why the server told me was a Full Pound of brisket.... I say she's wrong and didn't want to admit it. It was 3 small slices with pickle and onion.... that is all. Look at the picture... does that look like $57 dollars worth of food, including the 8oz kiddie cup of diet coke? I don't think so. I normally do not give 1 star reviews.... but this...
