Villa Tesoros — Local services in San Antonio

When in San Antonio we always visit Villa Tesoros (treasures villa) in historic La Villita in downtown. La Villita is on the famed Riverwalk and offers dining, cultural opportunities, and shopping. Villa Tesoro is a super cool shop full of unique clothing, artisan creations of fashion jewelry and leather goods plus gifts. I enjoy marveling at the handmade and creative displays while my wife shops. Bob and Claudia are the owners and great hosts too. Not too many places I’ve been offered a Bloody Mary while checking out the cool product and creative displays they create. Another awesome tidbit, a significant part of their offerings are short term, limited availability items. Once they are gone, they are gone. The reason for the one star review is solely based on customer service. Me and my close friend went in to look and shop around everything was fine until my friend was accosted by a male worker who “thought” she was taking pictures of an item of clothing when she was not. The accusation itself was not the issue but the tone and way in which the employee handled it by being extremely rude to her, accusing her of taking photos and when she tried to show her phone and explain she was not, he said well “I’m not gonna argue with you” in a dismissive and demeaning tone. I personally do not appreciate being talked to like a child and believe he would not have liked it if we had spoken to him with such disrespect. I expect better treatment especially from a...

I LOVED this beautiful gem! Strolled in, inadvertently this past Saturday (during a crazy spring break time in San Antonio) and needed a pair of shorts. I was warmly welcomed, even for a free mimosa on the house while I shopped in a relaxing, fun, comfortable atmosphere. The owners are clearly passionate about customer service (which is something you don’t see much these days) and were very involved in helping me find what I wanted. Not only did I find an adorable pair of shorts, I didn’t hesitate to splurge and buy four VERY comfortable, beautiful shirts. And let me tell ya, I don’t normally do boutiques.
