I wish my experience would've been just as good as so many reviews, sadly it was not. The only reason it gets 2 stars and not 1 is because of the manager, Lisa.

I placed an online order, that was to be ready for pickup at 7:47pm.

I arrived on time, called to let them know I was there to pick up my curbside order. I was told it would be out as soon as it was ready. I patently waited in my truck watching multiple workers hanging out talking instead of assisting customers. They were more interested in joking around and being on their phones than attending to orders or the customers that were inside dining or cleaning the dining area.

Fast forward to 8:07 still no food. I call again to get an update. I was again told it would be right out. At approximately 8:15 I finally get my order and it's no longer hot and is now soggy and inedible.

I call again and speak to Lisa. She brought me out a fresh order about 5 minutes later.

I ordered the 5pc catfish with French fries and the bourbon bread pudding. The fish had a weird sweetness to it and the fries tasted like fish and dirty shrimp oil. The bread pudding reminded me more of a bunch of bread with bourbon and spices with a half cooked egg mold holding it together than a bread pudding. There wasn't even a sauce on it. I requested my whipped topping on the side so it wouldn't melt. I get home, open the bread pudding and the whipped topping was in a side container that was placed inside the container on top of the hot bread pudding. I had liquid cream that was not able to be used.

If it wasn't for the manager, Lisa, and her amazing customer service I would've rated 1 star. Keep up the great work, Lisa!! So sorry your crew doesn't care about the quality as much as you do and cares more about socializing with one...

We went here to eat as we have heard from friends that the food was pretty good. The online menu looked good and the prices seemed reasonable so we decided to try it out. Off the bat, the place has a rustic old time feel, in Texas, Ice houses are a permanent fixture and a casual place to enjoy a good beer and some great snacks. We arrived and were greeted by someone at the counter who didn't make us feel rushed especially when we told him it was our first time. He offered to explain items if needed and we decided on the Half Rack ribs and the Ice house Willie Burger and the sides we chose were street corn, veggies and the biggest onion rings imaginable. First off, the Onion Rings were so tasty and crispy. The Onion rings were perfectly fried and had such a sweet flavor countered with the yummy hint of saltiness on the breading. The Ribs were fall off the bone tender with that sweet and tartness from the sauce. The big winner though was that burger. It was Huge and juicy and cooked to a perfect medium. I am not a fan of mustard but in this burger, it just went well without it being over powering. The sharpness of the mustard help cut the richness of that burger and cheese and it also came with mushrooms and thick cut bacon. The only thing I would say was a miss was the street corn. Street corn has a perfect balance of vinegary Tang and heat with that creamy mayo and heat from the chili but this corn wasn't that and offered that awful taste reminiscent of taco seasoning in a packet. Don't order the street corn. All in all, it was a good dinner and we will definitely come back, because we want to try that Bourbon bread...

What i dont get is how the service can be so terrible when all they do is refill drinks and everyone helps taking food out, so its not always your server. Guest order their own food and then get their own drinks. Ive gone to 3 different locations and this location was the WORST, we did not get greeted for about 15 minutes after ordering our own food and getting our own drinks, we had someone deliver an appetizer and leave still no one telling us who is our server. Then a a guy comes says he is not the server but will take the ticket and get our food going at that point we had already been there for 45 minutes. Then a girl comes with the WORST attitude acting like she didnt want to be there. I get sundays are busy and even busier when its a holiday but this is YOUR JOB. You get PAID to serve people and make your money by your service. If you dont like it apply somewhere else. the food wasn't all that the fried items tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. Then to top it off after waiting another 20 minutes to find "our server" after seeing her laughing and talking behind the coke machine she came to deliver a check we stated it was separate caught attitude another 5 mins passed by she came back screwed up all the checks and still continued with the attitude if i wasn't already so frustrated i would have spoken to the manager. I DO NOT recommend this willies location to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and go...
