11/28/24 Mon.9:58pm. I dont know how to explain non interested staff? I was walking through the 1st set of heavy doors and for a person that now has weakness in the hands everything is heavy. At the 2nd set there were 3 young ladies talking and 1 saw me she approached the door gave it a tiny nudge & didn't open then went back to her friends, then turned looked at me as I struggled to get my cart through the doorway. So I told the what I thought was a waitress that if it was cold like it always is more at night then I might take my food to go. But she found me a spot away from the noisy table behind the cashier. I was thinking I liked the strawberry lemonade on the menu and I asked her for one and was thinking burger also. So I sat there watch the waitress that sat me and she took the guy with the noisy table to the back, there was a little girl saying something to 1 of the employees and then came to me and let me know she was selling rings for $3? I said no thank you and she left the table. Weird.... I had not even had my drink and this little girl comes to solicit me and the another waitress says nothing to her?? The noisy guy comes out from the back alone and later that waitress comes out from the back also. I guess I was out of the picture since she went to the register by the kitchen and was saying someone owes the other money. She went to the front register and pulled the waitress receipts for the day. And she had not even started a ticket for me, all 4 or 6 people saw that I kept looking at them I was the only new person there and they could not even start a ticket, I'm guessing whatever the were talking about was more important than getting a good tip and I give great tips. But hey this place looks like the I don't care if you sit for hours we are more important than you, and they proved it. She said the oh my god and started the ticket and I had known that cause I saw her and the noisy guy go to the back, she told no one to start a ticket or make my beverage? Them the waitress that was checking out for the shift said she is getting up and I was and I didn't look at them and they didn't engage with me as i walked out to stay? Where are the real managers, where is there corporate people and why has this kind of service not stopped yet? This place, it's a travesty to say the least and then they want more pay but absolutely do nothing or different to deserve it, but it was a demand š«“ sooooo š¤. I don't think i will be going back to this (IHOPE) it gets better or it will see it's self closing its doors for good. I know that people can be mean and crude. But you took this job knowing you were gonna serve others and what it entails. You wonder why people give you poor tips, look at the service level this place offers, and then you take this crappy attitude to a real restaurant and call your self a waiter/waitress but your not. This will be sent to your corporate offices hope they change, I loved Ihope but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I were out late and hadnāt eaten much all day and at 9:30 at night there arenāt many quality options so iHOP was close and insight. Iāll be honest my last few iHop experiences at various locations havenāt been stellar so I didnāt walk in with very high expectations. I was gonna consider it a win just to get served something halfway edible. We walked in, were immediately seated and within moments greeted by our server who instantly set expectations that they were short staffed and food cook times would be long, however if we were willing to wait she assured quality service. MANN did Alejandra deliver!! She was SUPER attentive, not to mention well mannered and polite. Especially since she seemed young. Superb table side service. At this point even if the food came out burnt I would have been happy. The food came out and Iām telling you the cook Camillo put his foot in it!!! I got the sampler and I can honestly say Iāve never left and ihop with a empty plate of hashbrowns and if you saw my plate it could have easily been confused with one fresh out the dishwasher cuz I damn near licked it clean! But that wasnāt even the best part⦠I had THE BEST classic French toast I have had from anywhere in probably 5 years or more! Perfectly battered and griddled smothered with warm butter and oozing warm syrup. I was in heaven. My gut was already busting at the seams but I refused to leave one morsel on the plate out of sheer respect for the cook! We got to hear a bit of the kitchen chatter where we sat and were thoroughly entertained! Who would have expected dinner and a show!! For these guys to have been up against the odds of short staff and Iām sure impatient dinners and whatever other obstacles they came out like champions! Iāll be hard pressed to eat at another iHOP. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered food through the iHoptogo app around 2:00pm, and received confirmation for pick up at 2:22pm. I arrived at the location to pick up my food, and realized that only the pancakes were ready. I explained that to the server, who then said they must have given our order away. I then waited until 3:00pm, another 45-min from the promised time, until my food was ready. Once they gave me the omelette and the Split Decision, I realized they didnāt remake our pancakes, which were now Cold and the toppings melted. Additionally, the whipped cream was melted as well, if they had to remake the main part of the order, and I had to wait 45-min (which was longer than we would have waited if we had dined-in). We are now not only late for our event today, but our food is terrible. I would like a full refund of the check, and I definitely recommend that iHop creates some better method of training for their Togo orders. This is not the first time we have experienced it. Simple training of checking the bags against the ticket, and checking the timing on the ticket, a designated area on the pass for Togo orders, teaching the hosts/servers to pre-prep the bags w/silverware, napkins, etc. while food is being made, would go a long way. Also, once an order is confirmed, check the items off the ticket, initial it and tape it to the bag. The app should also have a dedicate customer service chat available to remedy these issues sooner.
