I am staying here at the Double Tree and asked the front desk where to eat. They tell me about Cutting Board Restaurant. I went in and ordered a beer and a burger with sweet potato fries. The burger came out with regular fries. The bartender says I am sorry and reorders the sweet potato fries. Some time has past and I am done with my burger now and tell the bartender to for get the fries because so much time has gone by with other food orders coming out. the bartender asked the guy sitting next to me if he wanted another beer while staring at my empty glass and gets him another beer. She never asked if I wanted another. She takes more food orders out to customers and comes to me as she takes my plate and then asked if I would like another beer. I am doing my best to not get irritated at this point. I tell her no thanks. She brings me the bill for the full meal and the beer I drank. I was less than pleased and she says well you canceled the fries and the kitchen is really busy. She never once apologized. She can tell at this point I am not happy with this bill. I told her I didn't that I should get charged for the fries I didn't get. You know they would have been nice to eat with the burger. She says to me " i did give you a 15% discount. I told her You were giving that to me anyways because I was staying in the hotel already and they give a 15% discount when you stay here. I took the high road and just paid the full bill. I will not recommend this place ever to anyone. Very...
Read moreHere’s a revised version of your experience at the Cutting Board restaurant, with added detail and emphasis on the server's behavior:
On a seemingly quiet evening, my boyfriend and I decided to dine at the Cutting Board, opting for the charming ambiance of their outdoor patio. As we settled into our seats, menus were handed to us with a promise that someone would attend to us shortly. Unfortunately, this assurance quickly faded into a disappointing 35-minute wait, during which several staff members glanced our way yet curiously avoided any engagement, despite the starkly empty dining and bar areas.
As our patience waned, my boyfriend attempted to courteously capture a waiter’s attention, only to be met with a brusque and startling rebuke. "What do you want?" snapped the waiter, David, with a tone steeped in disdain. This unprovoked rudeness not only caught us off guard but also hinted at a distressing possibility—were we being discriminated against based on our appearance? This thought lingered uncomfortably as we observed other patrons, who arrived after us, being served promptly and with courtesy.
The entire ordeal was a stark contrast to the serene setting and made us feel almost like intruders needing to plead for the service that should have been readily provided. For those considering a visit to this establishment, I strongly advise specifying not to be served by David to ensure a more welcoming experience, free from the unnecessary...
Read moreThe good: Outside there is a great place to sit and eat. There are beautiful fire structures that makes it even more pleasant. The bartenders were nice.
The bad: We didn't order dinner however, we did order dessert (bread pudding) based on the menu description. We put in an order for 4 and waited. And waited. And waited. For 40 minutes we waited. It finally came out and the presentation was fine. Each of us took a bite and it was horrible. It was hard, stale and tasted terrible. I then looked at mine more closely and saw mold spores. One other serving had mold spores as well. We called the waiter over and he took them all...then returned about 15 minutes later saying "sorry" and we "dont have to worry about it." and then walked away. I am not really sure what I expected. Some sense of trying to make it right? More empathetic as we literally just ate moldy dessert? We attempted to speak to someone else and they still acted very indifferent towards us and as if they didn't care. I am highly disappointed in how they treat people and disgusted that people actually eat here. We stayed in the hotel and didn't eat there again based on their treatment of us and the idea of how terrible their storage and...
