My husband and I found out about La Casa Restaurant from someone who worked on our house. We live in Rancho Cucamonga and on a Sunday morning, it was only an 18 minute drive. We weren't sure what to expect as they are new and just had their Grand Opening on March 1st, 2025.
We arrived just before 10am and while we were waiting to be seated noticed that some customers were leaving with large pots of menudo.
My husband was thinking of ordering something else, but changed his mind and went with the menudo since it seemed to be popular and only served on the weekends. I decided to go with the Fajitas Trio (beef, shrimp, chicken) since our server mentioned that was one of their specialties. The interior of the restaurant was nicely decorated and a lot bigger inside than we were expecting. They also have outdoor seating and a banquet room for special events and karaoke. My husband has tried menudo at various restaurants in our area and he really enjoyed the one here. They lit my fajitas on fire when they brought it out to our table. The tortillas are also handmade, yum...... Their salsas are also very tasty. To be honest, we came with really no expectations and wanted to check this place out because we were referred, but we were really impressed. They have a breakfast menu and all their prices are fair.
We will definitely return and try other items. They also had quesabirria and pozole on their weekend menu. Looking forward to trying...
Read moreThree wonderful things: 1. No microwaves here; 2. The Mexican sauces and salsas are fresh and bursting with flavor; and 3. No one serves better Mexican rice! Open just this year, La Casa is the second restaurant to take over the spot of decades-long Hannah's; and if anything, chef Fernando aims to carry on the tradition of fresh food at a very fair price. To be fair, the verde-style enchiladas were not earth-shattering but I have no complaints. I've heard that the pozole, menudo, and flan is a must-do on weekends. Perhaps I'll try a mid-week American-style French Toast breakfast soon also. Beer and local wines also served. Shout out to Nereida for the wonderful service. San Bernardino needs more of this. Let's hope La...

The quesoberria tacos were amazing big chunks of meet lots of cheese and great dipping. Fajitas were also good size and flavorful rice and beans were just ok. Definitely would come back for either of...
