I eat at this place very frequently, probably over 30 times within the past 12 months. Something about that pineapple and beef combo really gets to me. I would consider this my comfort restaurant and highly recommend it to try out.
You have to know what you’re getting at a Mongolian bbq buffet. It’s dry meat, vegetables and quite thankfully pineapple. It’s oily, it’s hot and it’s a protein blast. This is the only restaurant where I considerably FEEL healthier walking out regardless of the oil. I love eating here after a hard gym session and running my body ragged. I definitely wouldn’t bring a first date here but my girlfriend has fallen in love with it as well.
The service here is rather interesting. They bring sitters a pitcher of water, tea, egg roll (which is pretty top tier as far as I’ve had egg rolls for some inexplicable reason), shredded chicken soup and a piece of bread. This is a place to EAT. While you half way serve yourself I always make sure to tip because the ladies still do a fantastic job at making sure I’m enjoying myself and keeping the table clean.
The atmosphere is middle of the road but quite frankly who cares. This is a place for humans to be pigs and eat their hearts out. The price isn’t outrageous whatsoever and I can’t imagine profit margins are too high so here’s hoping to this place not going out of business.
The only real flaw is the unfortunate location. Lock your doors and remove your valuables. The owners try their best to remove criminals from the area but police don’t like to do their job around these parts. I would say it’s more than worth it for the food experience....
Read moreFirst and last time I come here.
The two old Asian sisters or whatever they are attending the cashier and serving are horrendous at fulfilling customer satisfaction. Instead of being attentive to what their customers need, they stand back and with a vigilant eye observe the amount of servings a customer takes. Hence, they have multiple signs that read “Eat all you want but do not share.” I came here alone during a week day afternoon and after my second serving, one of those ladies brought me my check. I was about to say “Excuse me . . . here . . . take, I’ll let you know when I’m ready.” This only made me feel rushed and was unable to enjoy my dinner.
In addition, they have only ONE young beautiful waitress who is actually keenly aware of all the restaurants customers’ requests. I saw her walking swiftly from corner to corner of the room trying to bring additional tea, water, and rice while the other two Asian ladies only stood back to see what customer had stood up to collect their tips including mine !
Also, at one point, the young beautiful waitress had brought me more tea. Minutes later, an elderly couple sitting near my vicinity had asked one of the Asian sisters if they could have more tea as well. As a reply she said, “Sorry we don’t have any more tea.” I felt very disturbed at that point and as the owner walked from the kitchen to the cashier, I asked him to cash me out so that I...
Read moreIf you're familiar with Mongolian bbqs, then you're probably familiar with what topping are usually offered for your noodles, as well as what meats you can choose for your protein. Well as much as I want to give this place more stars, because they've really enhanced the interior, such as new seats, cleaner feeling environment, etc. But I feel they have made these improvements while sacrificing the food. Let's start with protein. They noonger have pork, usually the proteins offered are beef, chicken, lamb, tofu, and pork, well no more pork, which is the meat I usually choose. Ok I can look past this, beef is decent. But no, oh no, we aren't done with the disappointments, let's move over to toppings. There's is no more water chestnuts, green onions, and fresh garlic. These are basic staples for good Mongolian noodles. Ok, sometimes at certain restaurants they only serve canned soda, this happens a lot at Asian good restaurants and smaller eateries. And in these instances it makes sense to be charged again when you want another soda. Its in a can after all. This place has fountain sodas, right from a bag in a box, however they still charge for refills. This just seems wrong on a 3 dollar soda, to then turn around and charge for refills. I wanted to rate this place better. I've been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember and had much higher hopes for...
