The cravings for the mochi donuts can finally be satisfied. Funny enough, my buddy got an ad about the near grand opening of Mochi Dough and showed me immediately. They knew that I was dangerously craving, thinking about them in my daily life. Following my heart, I decided it was time to give it a try. The interior is pink, trendy and quite the bit of people. After all, the place also offered boba and them FGCU students love that stuff. I saw the mochi donut display and felt my heart soar. Been a while since I seen them beauties. I ordered at the kiosk and I couldn’t just try the donuts. So, I decided to go for a drink as well. Therefore, I ordered a roasted oolong and 6 mochi donuts. Now look, I don’t really think about my lactose intolerance but I was surprised that there wasn’t a lot of non-dairy drink options. Their “non-dairy” section doesn’t explain what they use as a substitute for dairy but to be frank, I should’ve asked the employees. Either way, the donuts were exactly what my tastebuds were missing for months. That sweet, chewy tapioca sweet rice concoction. Don’t get me started on that fruity pebble one. The drink was alright. I put 75% sweet but I felt it was too sweet for that percentage. Flavoring is bold, too. Love the cap of the cup! If you like sweet and flavorful-ness, that tea’s for you. They’re LOADS of dairy-induced options of drinks that surely follow such. Cute place, awesome donuts! Exactly what us mochi donut fiends needed in our area! I fear...
Read moreDrove about 45min to try out the new mochi donuts that people are excited about. The atmosphere looks fun and girly and kid friendly. It’s like walking into a pink factory. While in line, the manager or owner pulled me aside before making an order on their kiosk machine, that their frying machine is currently not working so all the mochi donuts are all sold out. I decided to buy a latte to try out their products. Before my turn at the counter, a tourist man walked past everyone asking the manager if he can get a donut order. You can see that the manager is explaining to the guy that their machine is broken and that the donuts on display are sold out. He refuses to give up asking and the manager just gave it to him. He left the building to grab CASH in his car gave it to the manager as payment.
So the manager made a decision to give a guy that’s begging to get the donuts but can’t give the rest in line.
After receiving my drink I asked the clerk if I can grab a donut order since they are displayed, the clerk said they are saving it for the day since they don’t have much, and the machine is broken. If I could wait 30 min more for the machine to be fixed. Or you can come during the weekends because that’s when we have the most. TODAY IS SUNDAY. IT IS THE WEEKEND.
anyway great place but just be careful because other customers see who you give the...
Read moreHonestly probably the best boba I’ve ever tasted. Their boba pearls are so flavorful and not too sweet, and have a really nice bite to them. I didn’t think actual boba itself could taste so good!
It’s a little pricey here but very delicious and worth the treat.
There’s tons of drink options, but keep in mind the boba is not included, so make sure to add it to your drink selection.
The donuts are so delightfully chewy and they’re always bringing more out fresh. You can only buy a single donut if you buy a drink though, so if no drink you have to buy a 3 pack or larger.
It can get pretty busy and a bit loud, so might not be the best environment for studying or work. But there’s lots of seating and tables if you choose to!
Pictured here is the chizu pineapple green tea with added stir fried boba and coconut jelly, and a churro mochi donut costing...
