Matcha — Restaurant in San Clemente

Incredible. I’m so happy they just opened up. Their ice honey green tea is delicious with or without Boba. They are so reasonably priced but with all the quality you’d want in poke/matcha/tea and coffee/ice cream. They’re service is quick, they are friendly, always clean and the flavors and prices are hard to beat. I’m pretty picky when it comes to poke or anything matcha or green tea flavored but I have no complaints about this place. My husband and I, although acknowledging that much of what we Broke Da Mouth is wild caught babe stopped going there to come to this place. Finally, a delicious poke/matcha place that is generous with portions and reasonably priced where you don’t walk away feeling ripped off....

Drinks are good however, horrible customer service. The manager of the store is rude when taking orders. I had to repeat myself 3 times until she finally answered saying, “I heard you!”. I dont know if she was annoyed because of my repeated orders or not but she did not call out my order number either. My drinks looked like they had been out for at least 5-10 minutes. When confronted, she claims she called out my number but I was the one who didnt hear it. Only one other customer was inside the store and it was the poke side’s customer. Manager needs to be retrained in customer service...

So bummed. They won’t take reusable containers so you have to waste with plastic (I know a lot of people don’t care about this, but I do) and they also use Grade A matcha which is not what it sounds... Grade A would never be used in traditional matcha. It’s only used in cooking because the quality is poor. When you get your matcha here it’s a dirty dark green-brown color. It should be bright green always!

Upon actually trying it: this matcha literally tastes like seaweed.

Sorry, but if you’re going to call your business “matcha” please use...
