I'm finally taking an obligatory past due moment to express my frustration and disappointment with the local Taco Bell's quality and the ongoing ineptitude among its employees. My wife and I have lived in San Clemente for several cheerful years and used to make regular stops there. This all started to change about a year or so ago when it seemed like there was a new employee turnover every time. Consequently, there was no consistency in the food and there have been constant screw-ups, like erroneous charges, ever since. The worst crime of all: not providing the product purchased, or forgetting items. These seemingly petty mishaps add up - I'm paying a premium for fast food. I can vividly recall the blunders of the past three visits leaving my wife and I feeling rather upset and unsatisfied to say the very least. Last night, June 7th, was one of them. We regrettably went through the drive-thru for dinner and promptly returned home. To our dismay, an item was once again suspiciously omitted from the bag. This time it was a shredded chicken quesadilla but we weren't about to inconvenience ourselves and return as the hour was getting late. We decided to move on and live with yet another discourtesy. The loaded chicken chipotle griller I had ordered was the most shriveled up and tasteless deflated of a thing, it was barely recognizable as a burrito. The rest of the meal was insipid at best as well. The previous experience was another disaster. A cheesy bean & rise burrito was unaccounted for and the rice in my chicken burrito was like chewing on barnyard gravel. On the occasion that preceded this, I was charged an exorbitant amount to exchange one type of chicken for another in my eponymous chicken burrito in which I always do; shredded chicken for grilled chicken. The injustices go on like this. Sometimes the clerks monkey around on the intercom as well. Finally, adding insult to injury, the hot sauce rations are ridiculously meager at this location as well. I remember a time in my younger years when I could simply order two bean burritos and a chicken burrito and get exactly what I ordered. It was a better time. Now I have to identify everything precisely with marketing nomenclature and make special preparation arrangements and it still results in an overpriced folly. That's if I even receive what I ordered in the first place. In my experience there are good Taco Bells and mediocre Taco Bells and this one is awful. As a longstanding patron of Taco Bell, I expect a higher standard of service and quality. Is that too much to ask for? After all, Dell Taco is always right...
Read moreMy friend, my partner and I all were all enjoying our visit to the Camino Real Taco Bell 7/8/25 around 7:00PM only to feel immediately uncomfortable around a group of bratty E-biker kids no older than 10-17 years old coming in and sitting near the front. We saw them zooming in and out of traffic putting themselves and others in danger. They were berating some of the staff and in general causing commotion, a sort of bad aura (as expected). One of the workers handled them calmly and kept his demeanor as they continued to throw childish noises at him, restoring some of our hope and making us feel like we could come back again. Food arrived quickly, soda fountain tasted clean and fresh, and the location is nice in general. Staff was friendly too, thank you Camino Real Taco...

They said I can’t. They can’t do it so stripe was very rude just know y’all lost a customer I would never go back there again if I asked for beans to be on my softshell taco and y’all turn around and put beef and then when I asked for y’all put on my receipt as beef, but ask the person and we need to actually repeat the orders back to be sure I clarity said that I want beans on my shell taco and gave me the wrong one and due to receipt of something and y’all can’t change it and or make me pay the...
