Brewski's and Goldfingers have same owner both located on same lot. Free pool & games but tables and most games suck. Brewski's bar gives $5 discount off entrance into Goldfinger's strip club when you make a purchase. Drinks are reasonably priced. The food is nasty! March 20, 2013 the service was poor enough the bartender Angie apologized as we were leaving having been very nice to her and tipping her as well. That day we tried to accept the invitation to Goldfingers. The doorman stopped us at the door denying enterance stating company policy was "No unescorted females enter". He furthermore stated that we would have to be escorted indvidually. Given the possibility that the doorman was misrepresenting the establishment we returned to Brewski's to ask for owners contact information. Angie did not have it available but offered to call a manager. She served us drinks while we were waiting. The manager turned out to be the same doorman Danny and he denied the information requested. I feel this "company policy" is certainly sexually discriminatory! Equal rights? A business owner should not be allowed to operate above the law! A woman should be treated with the very same respect a man is and our money as spendably green. I certainly won't ever spend another cent inside Brewski's again knowing that the same owner operates Goldfinger's in such a manner. The practice is unlawful and certainly socially unacceptable! Goldfinger's company policy denies women irregardless of thier sexual preferance the legal right for equality. The policy should be changed immediately or the propriator should be held accountable for not doing so. I consider it my civil duty to bring this to the attention of the public and approriate officials immediately. Please don't support a business propriator's venue to discriminate against another! There are certainly many bars and clubs where your money could be better spent without enabling such an appauling company policy to continue to exist. We as unescorted ladies had previously visited Brewski's on several other occasions. We never had any problems untypical of such a dive bar environment and certainly never caused any. We surely spent money there and tipped very well for sometimes what was poor service. We were given by the bartenders @ Brewski's the $5 discount reciepts on almost every occassion as encouragement to visit Goldfingers and then denied enterance! No where is such policy publically displayed! Does such policy exist? If not Danny is just a disrespectful idiot that deserves appropriate acknowledgement for being such. Afterall there are many species that practice homosexuality and only one that is homophobic. I'm straight and have gay lady friends that should be able to walk into any establishment with me to spend our money as we see fit to do....
Read moreI love this place so much but last night I was banned for doodling sidewalk chalk in the parking lot. the cartoon I drew while taking my dog for a walk around the parking lot was of an alien spaceship with 2 aliens in it with one saying "I told you this place sucked" clearly joking about aliens visiting earth and not liking it here. The only reason I go to this bar is to play a pinball and eat food. I usually only have one drink and I don't have any friends so I don't socialize with anybody, occasionally interacting with folks who are petting my dog when I bring her on the patio. Last night a couple of people were telling me I should join the pinball League they have there, including the really sweet bartender, and being new in this state, I thought maybe it would be fun to meet some new friends. I was drinking a Coca-Cola at the bar when a huge bouncer looking guy came out of nowhere and shoved his phone in my face and asked very loudly and embarrassingly if that was me and my dog and it was security camera footage of me drawing sidewalk chalk with my dog. And I said yes that's me and he said GET OUT RIGHT NOW YOU'RE BANNED! GET OUT NOW!. I'VE ALREADY CALLED THE COPS GET OUT NOW! I tried to explain it was just a silly cartoon and i apologized over and over and this man scared the shit out of me :( I'm 5'2 130 lbs and this guy was over 6 feet and like 300 lbs and was shoving his phone in my face yelling at me in front of everyone. the man next to me at the bar was shocked and offered to pay my tab. I've never felt more embarrassed, THE WHOLE BAR WAS LOOKING AT ME. and this man was SCARY BIG AND AGGRESSIVE and i left in tears. and I'm a really good patron and a good tipper. I don't cause any problems and I literally keep to myself and just play video games. I was so very much looking forward to joining that pinball league and I love that they are constantly switching out their machines so I really enjoyed going there and I'm absolutely devastated that I was banned for drawing sidewalk chalk of two aliens. I think it's also important to note that I also drew hearts and another alien holding up a peace symbol saying "SUP" and another little message that said "HIYA CUTIE". I thought it would make people smile to see little positive and funny things and since it's sidewalk chalk, I honestly didn't think I was doing any harm... and I still have a bunch of money on my game card and I'm SO SAD about my pinball:( i have very few things i do for myself, trying to navigate my new life in a new state after leaving my abuser and fleeing across country. like i can't believe y'all took my pinball away over sidewalk chalk and how scary i was treated... I'm so upset... y'all...
Read moreWe finally got a chance to stop by Brewski's, and it happened to be the same night as a Padres game, so you knew already it'd be packed! They check IDs at the door - 21+ only!
PARKING - Fairly decent sized lot in front of the business but there's also other spots available in the rest of the strip mall.
SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Service was fairly quick, even with the big crowd of people. There's outdoor tables and indoor tables, as well as TV screens on basically every single wall, so that no matter where you're looking, you have an angle. There's also drink holders scattered around the game area which is nice when you don't want to hold your drink.
DRINKS/EXPERIENCE - We had some of their draft beer and I was satisfied with the range of options they had. One of our friends got Cocktails and the Lavender Gin Sour was pretty good, even though I'm not a huge fan of Lavender.
It looks like reviews a few years back mentioned the games being free, but that's not the case anymore. Most of the games are $0.25 - $1. There are 3 pool tables available as well.
We didn't get a chance to grab any food, but it definitely smelled and looked good! Will have to try some the next time we come back.
OVERALL - A fun spot to hang out with friends, or obviously when there's a game going on, it's a nice environment to...
