I attended The 2023 YELPIES on 12 December 2023 at the Royal India Miramar and it was an absolutely spectacular evening and I am so thankful that I got to partake of it. I arrived at the Royal India and parked on the Royal Banquet side which was the entrance we were directed to enter. There was a short line that moved quickly with a really personable gentleman checking people in and another one nice enough to take photos of each Yelper as they entered through the red-carpeted, balloon-arch entrance. The archway opened up brightly lit banquet hall that looked perfectly festive. The tables were beautiful with red table cloths and ornate lantern like center pieces. The front of the room had a large stage with a YELPIES lighted letter sign and a dance floor. Yelpers mixed and mingled and took photos of themselves and others in front of the signs and decorations. I made a stop at the selfie camera and had to put on some props. Shared hi and hugs with a few Eliters and then looked around for a table to cop a squat at. I took a seat at a table in the middle with other Eliters who I'd never met. I wanted to meet and share a meal with new people and it was the perfect idea. I had the best time with the people at our table. Everyone was chatty (like me...oh yeah just call me Chatty Cathy) and fun and wanted to swap stories about other events and their social activities. It was great! Dinner was served and we queued up by tables and sections in an extremely orderly fashion. The selection of food on the buffet was outstanding. Everything was fresh or piping hot and it all smelled delicious. When I finally sat down to eat with the table, we all just nodded and mmm'd at the fare in front of us. No one could say anything we were enjoying every bit far too much. As dinner wrapped up, Hannah presented awards to exceptional Yelpers and then introduced entertainment. Oh my gosh! We were dazzled by a gorgeous belly dancer. She twirled and spun and flicked and gyrated all around the dance floor and between the tables. She captivated the entire room with every movement and then SHE SET STUFF ON FIRE! What!? She sure did and it was friggin' awesome! It was a perfect, festive, Christmas party. Thank you, Royal India and & Yelp...

Their happy hour meals/prices intrigued me, decided to give it a try. Average experience overall. I arrived at 5:20, there was a banquet going on, but no one in the actual restaurant section. I was seated near the doors to the banquet & eventually another couple arrived. It was just the 2 tables for happy hour dinner between 5:30-6:30pm last Friday.

The servers were attentive, as long as I called their attention. I waited 40ish mins for my tikka masala happy hour platter (which included tikka masala, rice, a samosa & naan). Something happened when I placed my order, it was rung up as a full meal and not the platter. The servers quickly fixed this issue & brought out everything that was supposed to come. In my opinion, the tikka masala was lacking the punch of flavor you would expect with a curry dish. Samosa was delicious alongside the sauces. Naan was fluffy with a bit of crisp on the bottom.

There was a bit of confusion about my bill. It was obvious that several different servers had rung my meal up and helped throughout my time there… unfortunately, this resulted in an inaccurate total $$. I addressed the issue and it was eventually fixed, but definitely something of concern, considering I was one of two tables in the entire restaurant & if I hadn’t pointed it out they wouldn’t have known.

I would consider coming back here for happy hour drinks, but unsure if it would be worth it to pay for an entire meal. The empty restaurant at happy hour took me by surprise, especially since it was a Friday. Frankly, there are better Indian restaurant options within close vicinity for this place to be lacking in the flavor and...

Royal India banquet hall exceeded all our expectations and delivered an unforgettable experience for our recent birthday celebration. From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the hall's majestic ambiance, which perfectly blended elegance with warmth.

The hospitality was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout the event. They were attentive, accommodating, and incredibly friendly, making us feel like honored guests every step of the way.

The hall itself was stunning, with tasteful decor that added to the festive atmosphere. The dance floor was spacious and inviting, and the music selection was fantastic, keeping everyone on their feet and the energy high.

And then, there was the food - a true highlight of the evening. The menu was diverse and delicious, offering a range of options to suit every palate. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented.

What truly set Royal India apart, however, was their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs as hosts. They were incredibly understanding and accommodating when we needed to make last-minute changes, and they worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was perfect.

Overall, our experience at Royal India banquet hall was nothing short of magical. It's rare to find a venue that excels in every aspect, from hospitality to ambiance to cuisine, but Royal India truly delivered. We left with memories that will last a lifetime, and we can't wait to celebrate our next event there....

Great food with an amazing service! (Edit) Changing my review to two stars. Not giving them one because I still like the food. On my last visit there the place was not super busy so we got our seats right away. We gave our order and just chatted about as we waited for our food. First thing I've noticed is that they didn't bring us any of the thin crispy bread that usually comes with any order. And when my order finally arrived it was super mild with almost no spice, but I figured they just made a mistake on spice level so I didn't think much about it. One of my friends who ordered a coke didn't get it with the food and after asking for it 3 different times had to ask to get it removed from our bill as we finished the food by then. One of my other friends had some curry left over and asked for a box from 2 different people they just said ok and went to the kitchen. After about 10 minutes we flagged another waiter for a box, and the boxes were literally right next to where we were sitting when he got them from behind the counter. Then it took about 10 more minutes after that to get our check.

food here is absolutely good..we ordered butter tharka kofta, paneer naan chilli naan, onion naan and potato cauliflower pakora..samosa chat ..paneer tikka kabab.. everything was good..tharka kofta and chilli naan were best among all..i ll rate 4 starts for thier food alone..but the service was tad slow..and the not very attentive too..we had to wait for about 20 mins for them to take order and food takes somemore time to arrive too..also we had remind three times to bring a extra spoon..no one came to refill water too..though the food is very good the price is very expensive compared to the restaurants which offers same kind of food.. ** update** The food is still good and the service is improved very well today. It was quick and attentive . Tried paneer kabob, samosa chat, tharka kofta and onion chilli naan. Even the texture of rice is improved and good than previous few times.
