I recently visited Desserts by Clement on the recommendation of my personal training client, and I’m so glad I did, it was an absolute treat! I went in expecting a croissant that might be crunchy or even a little hard, but what I got was pure perfection: light, flaky, and so delicious I couldn’t believe it. My friend and I decided to split one, and let me tell you, that was the biggest mistake of the day, not because it wasn’t enough, but because it was so good we wished we’d each had our own: to savor every last bite of that generous, heavenly pastry!
The vibe at Desserts by Clement is fun, friendly, and totally welcoming, making it an amazing spot to indulge. The matcha was fantastic too smooth, flavorful, and a perfect pairing. If you’re in the area, you’ve got to check this place out. I’m already dreaming of my next visit to make up for not grabbing a whole croissant to myself. Thanks for the invite Shirley
absolutely love Desserts by Clement! The exterior is stunning, with its modern design and inviting outdoor seating area perfect for a pleasant visit. I’ve dined in once, and the atmosphere was delightful, with everyone chatting at a comfortable volume. The food is a standout, every detail is meticulously crafted and incredibly delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by a croissant that looked like it might be hard but turned out to be the softest, flakiest treat I’ve ever had! Thanks to the Too Good To Go app, I scored an amazing last-minute deal for just $4.99, getting a white goodie bag filled with treasures. One was a hot dog encased in a croissant with onions and mustard, surprisingly delicious, even though I’m not a mustard fan! Another was a pepper pinwheel with a marinara vibe that was absolutely amazing. I still have a chocolate looking pastry and another one left to enjoy. This place deserves all the praise...

Tiramisu was 10 out of 10, the Dubai cup - 10 out of 10, just keep in mind that the portion is big and the dessert is too sweet and filling, and the mango 6 out of 10. We always appreciate how these desserts look - it’s a beautiful place with a great ambiance.
Previous review: I came across this amazing patisserie by accident, as I was exploring Pacific Beach and when I saw the beautiful black exterior with a stylish sign, I needed to check it out. And OMG!!! It appeared to be a fantastic dessert spot! I couldn’t believe my eyes and that I actually discovered a new hidden gem!!
The selection of dessert are so unique, pretty and mouthwatering, everything in that cafe is very instagrammable, they carry baguettes, croissants and savory items too, although on this first trip I only got one dessert, because I got there after a good breakfast and wasn’t hungry. But I am definitely coming back because I want to taste everything else. And I am bringing my girlfriends and I am bringing my kids. They will all love it - the ambiance is very uplifting, the details are great, everything is so tasteful, you got a little taste of France in this boutique cafe.
The macaron shaped pillows, beautiful accents everywhere, friendly service - great Parisian experience in Pacific Beach. The chef l is actually a finalist on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship, his name is Clément Le Déoré. He also offers baking classes and while in line for my dessert a lady told me that she took three of his workshops and absolutely loved them. So I am going to keep an eye on...
Read moreI would like to start this review by saying that the cafe as a whole is very clean and quaint. Everything looks extremely yummy and the staff are very friendly. However, I must be honest and state that I feel that Desserts by Clement is overhyped and overpriced. I visited this establishment on 2 separate occasions (once on July 1st and the 2nd on August 23) and my experience was easy and pleasant. With both visits I have tasted the mushroom, the blackberry, strawberries w/Dubai chocolate, the coconut and an almond pastry (this was an incorrect item. I actually ordered the Dubai Chocolate croissant and did not realize the mistake until I arrived home in the Southbay). While I did enjoy the flavor and texture of the mushroom and the blackberry (the lavender in the blackberry was an exciting surprise); I was extremely underwhelmed with all of the other items. The cake in the coconut was very dry and did not mesh well with the filling. The filling itself was bland and flavorless. No notes of vanilla or pineapple (outside of the tidbits mixed in). Just cold cream. It also did not match the pictured item (I understand that this is a bit childish but for a shop that has a focus on the "look" of there desserts I feel that it is important to match the advertisement). The strawberries were mushy and some of them had a slight fizzy feel (edible but spoiling). The almond pastry was nothing exciting and could be purchased elsewhere for less money. Honestly, I feel that you could spend less money and enjoy the pastries at Paris...
