Armonia Kitchen — Restaurant in San Diego

My new favorite spot! LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this place. Super charming, and the manager/staff is incredibly welcoming as well (came up to almost each table to check and see how everything was doing and to come and grab any leftover plates). They have a great selection of options, but I have to shout out the Mushroom Carnitas burrito which I had. 😍🤤🤤🤤 It was freaking delicious! I appreciated the size and it wasn’t this huge overwhelming burrito (like most other burrito spots that give you one the size of a small child), but two thoughtfully done small burritos with great flavor and spice paired with some contrasting and delicious hot sauce and other sauce. I actually felt rejuvenated after this spot and didn’t feel like I was leaving with a food coma lol.

I am so excited to try the rest of the food (and drinks / smoothies) on the menu! Everything on it looks delicious and had my mouth watering.

The interior and exterior are also thoughtfully decorated with an emphasis on greenery and plants, and just feels very charming, quaint, and welcoming. I love the intimate setting too - which you can rarely find nowadays. I’m so excited to come back here. Its atmosphere and food has totally won over my heart.

Updated on order on April 14th: Unfortunately, my recent visit to the store left much to be desired. I phoned ahead last week to place an order for a recharge bowl with bee pollen, specifying that I would pick it up in about 25 minutes. I even confirmed my arrival time of 4:47, to which they assured me it would be ready. However, upon entering the store promptly at the agreed time, I found the two employees engrossed in cleaning tasks. When I mentioned my order, one of them casually remarked that it was "almost ready" before proceeding to prepare it from scratch right in front of my eyes! While the delay was only about 5 minutes, it was disheartening considering they had ample notice. Furthermore, there was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, let alone an apology. To add to the disappointment, my order was missing the bee pollen, necessitating me to point it out. For the price I pay, I expect a higher level of service. Regrettably, this experience has left me hesitant to return to the store.

WOW! Armonia Kitchen is so good!!! First, the owners and staff are so incredibly nice which makes you feel welcome immediately. The place is clearly a labor of love and it shows in all they do. The food is incredible. I've been going at least once a week since they opened just before Covid hit. It is so good I bring all my friends and family too. I can sincerely say I have not had anything there that I didn't enjoy. I cannot pick a favorite, but I do really love the chilaquiles (with and without the mushroom carnitas), the açaí bowl, the green smoothie (I think it's technically called Green Power) and they have an amazing Oat Milk Latte which is good with or without honey either hot or cold. Some day I will make it through the menu, but for now I can highly recommend the above as well as the mushroom carnitas burritos, the eggplant sandwich, mushroom burger, avocado toast, energy balls, papaya smoothie and the fresh juices. My father loves the veggie omelettes too!!! So, basically, you just need to check them out for a lovely spot, great food, nice people who prepare it all with fresh, healthy ingredients....
