Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in San Diego

I haven't used Dominos since the early 2000's. I always thought of them as cheap cardboard pizza or as a comparison to $5 little Caesars pizza. My recent favorites have quit delivering and referred us to grub hub and door dash. They offered kept screwing up, or would send me notices after an hour that my order had been cancelled. Normally at 10:30 when it was too late to find another option.

Dominos brought me food late at night when I was hungry and it was way better than I would have imagined! Easily as good as my local favorite. It was Hot! Crunchy things were still crunchy! They have upped their game and our pizza was just awesome! Great flavor! We added the brownies and they too were incredible.

The best part is that it was delivered by Domino's and they took responsibility for getting it to me. Showed up in 20 minutes and they have an app to track it. They own their pizza from their door to my door.

My recent experience with my favorite local companies is making 3 calls, being on hold, and finding out that it is too late to do anything about getting my pie before close.

On 9/17 my partner and I ordered pizza from this location using the carside pickup option (drive up and someone brings out your order to the car). Dominos has a commitment to get the pizza to the each car in under 2 minutes or else you get a free pizza on your next order. When I arrived, I was told that my pizza was accidentally taken on a delivery run and they would need to make my order again. I think the manager (maybe Lori?) came out to my car and personally apologized, offered a free liter of Coke and honored the free pizza coupon. The situation was an honest mistake and they didn't have to honor the coupon or add on a free beverage but they did and they had excellent customer service while communicating the situation to me. I know this location has has some negative recent views but I thought I'd share this positive one. We don't often eat at Dominos but this experience will definitely bring us back. Thank you to the employees that made this experience great and to the employee who accidentally took the order on delivery-no worries! It happens. Take care and...

It's in a strip mall. Plenty of parking. You can window shop while waiting for your pizza or head on over to the 7-11 to add to your pizza experience.

Otherwise, you can sit and watch your pizza being done and in about 15 to 20 minutes your pie is ready...if your there in person.

They have a very basic menu and types of Pizza crusts...even 1 for vegetarians.

The other menu is subs/sandwiches/salads and specialty items and ending with 3 to 4 bread type dessert choices.

It does get pricey if you build your ow, and no, there are no discounts.

You can also choose to walk the strip mall and maybe find other shops you didn't know about or existed.

Otherwise, you can avoid all this and have your dinner delivered and anywhere from 20 minutes to 40...
