Well, I unfortunately didn’t get to try anything since I was completely ignored. I'm in town for work & I stopped in to grab a soda and a snack. There were 3 people working and no customers in the store. The employees were standing just a few feet from me; there was a lady making a sandwich and 2 men talking. I walked up to the register, put my stuff down, they looked at me and I smiled at them, waiting for them to finish whatever they were doing. Instead, I stood there just staring at them for an awkward minute and a half in silence as they continued chatting a few feet away from me, seemingly pretending that I wasn’t there. No acknowledgement, not a single hello (or even a “I’ll be with you in a moment!”). All 3 of them saw me standing there waiting to pay and wouldn’t say a word to me or even budge, they just looked away and kept chatting away with each other. Even when I walked out the door and left my stuff on the counter, I was completely ignored.

Read moreA family owned grill for over 12 years now. JR’s Grill brings the family to work for the community. Thriving in its current location on 601 pacific highway, JR’s has opened a secondary location close by. The second location residing in the beautiful Embassy Suites Hotel that sits beside its original building. Which only adds to the family, adds to the community that surrounds them. A second location that close; well, that is something that tells you the community is grateful for them to be there.
Personally I visited this grill; at some points, three times a day. Perhaps it was for the food, or perhaps it was simply for the hospitality, the family and now friends that turn the wheels of commerce each day at this wonderful eatery.
If you are in need of a place with a great breakfast burrito, or a lunch spot with all the fixings, no matter what your pallet is saying to your hungry belly, you’ll find a home at JR’s grill. It’s great people, great food, and a great part of...
Read moreSearching for food nearby and with 4th of July crowds, found this place, figured it wouldn't be to terribly crowded, we were right, a few people ahead of us and about a 20ish minute wait for food, no biggie, everyone else was out to the street and 1 - 2 hours out. We got a couple of burgers, prepared pretty much backyard style (onion / lettuce / tomato etc), with a generous helping of fries (cooked perfectly) I was able to grab some beer and a soft drink and wait for my food, took everything back to the Hyatt (since they had no operational restaurant) and was able to catch the fireworks show. Thank you JR's grill and G street deli for dinner & beer! 5 stars to the guy on the grill since he was the only one prepping the food and doing...
