Read moreI fell in love with La Colombe through many trip to NYC where it is based. There's a reason why it's always so crowded, they pull a perfect shot of espresso every time. Unfortunately, that focus on quality does not extend to this location which must be franchised. The total lack of customer service and uneven quality of the beverages is something you would never see in NYC. I recently asked for a pot of Oolong to be brewed a few minutes longer as I enjoy a more robust flavor and was told they were unable to do so. Really?! This makes no sense whatsoever, if a customer wants a drink a certain way - why in the world wouldn't they accomodate? It's not like I'm asking for anything out of the ordinary.
In addition, espresso drinks are very uneven and entirely depend on the skill of the barista which is very hit or miss.
Too many other wonderful coffee shops in the area (hello, Zumbar! or even Elixir next to Anthropologie) to bother with La Colombe and their poor...
Read moreLet me start off my saying that if youâve avoided trying this place because you donât like their canned coffeesâŠI understand, but donât. The poison in those cans is 100% different from what you can get here at the physical locations. The oat milk draft latte has a texture unlike anything that has ever graced my palate, to say itâs âsmoothâ is a total understatement. My only complaint here would be that La Colombe needs to offer larger sizes. Because itâs a draft coffee, its about 30% air when you get it. By the time I walked down to the parking garage and got in my car, it looked like someone had guzzled a third of my drink already. For coffee lovers, it would be great if that could be addressed so weâd actually get a decent amount of coffee...
