Iāve been coming here for years and generally everyoneās customer service is on par, food is typically pretty good depending on what you get. But I donāt know if Iām the only one experiencing this but there has been several times that I have been there and Matt has been extremely rude and very uninviting. There was a time where I came to do some work and grab a coffee an hour and a half before the Adams location closed. As I was standing there ready to order with my backpack on I was told by Matt that I should go to the park location since they are open 24hrs. I remember thinking that was very odd but I just left to the other location cause it seemed like he didnāt want to serve me. Iāve ordered food with other staff there knowing that there were other food orders in front of me. When you order from Matt, even if there is one food order ahead and youāre trying to order a sandwich, he will remind you that thereās another food order in front of yours and it wonāt be ready for 45 mins š. The last straw I had with him was when I was there mid morning on a Saturday, the employee (wish I remembered his name) is always super friendly was working when I came in. I bought a couple coffees from him and my girlfriend and I started studying. Not even an hour later Matt comes in for his shift, and by that time I had finished my coffee and had a water cup. Thereās a couple people next to us without any coffee cups as well, but Matt decides to approach me and instead of politely asking if I had already bought something, he tells me that I can buy a coffee at the counter and points to it. I was caught off guard and confused, Iāve been in the customer service industry for 15 years, Matt needs to work on his customer service. Iām not sure if him and his brother own it (because if you look at the few owner replyās on these reviews you can see how unprofessional their response is) but thereās no reason to treat any...

I'm glad this place is still thriving. They serve up excellent coffee and have plenty of tasty treats and food options. There's indoor seating and outdoor seating both streetside out front and more "chill" outdoor seating out back of the place.
Over the years Lestat's has changed some and those changes have continued. They grabbed the properties on either side of them and expanded into them. Now they've contracted a bit with the corner property back to being its own business while the property to their west is still the performance space. Glad to see it all continuing to keep continuing.
The opening up of the kitchen area is a much appreciated thing as well. It's a lot less claustrophobic back there as well as being better ventilated.
Lestat's is still open late but only to Midnight these days. That's less than it used to be but a helluvalot better than most other places in town.
So, good coffee, good grub, and a nice place to enjoy it all in. That makes for a highly recommended...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBlessed beyond my wildest dreams ! Lestat's West is an amazing venue in which to go for it and try.You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Everyone is so supportive. I remember about a year ago, I felt so discouraged and I came to Lestat's West in hopes of regaining confidence. Then the magic happened. The audience gave me a beat and I performed an original called, Better Than That. The audience loved it. Off I went to explore new horizons of songwriter venues and slowly I began to network with my fellow Musicians. Last night my original Christmas song, Christmas Dreamin' was aired on the Tim Pyles show on 91x. Now I have a music video to support my Christmas song and a video release.party in the making. I can't thank Lestat's West enough for all the love and support. I will keep moving forward and return one night again on a Monday to place my name in the hat for an opportunity to be amongst my fellow songwriters and performers. Thank.you Lestat's West for continuing to support all the local San Diego ...
