I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ma's House, a Chinese restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that instantly made us feel at home.
Now, let's talk about the food. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was a true delight for our taste buds. The shrimp with spicy sauce was packed with flavor and had the perfect level of spiciness. The combination of succulent shrimp and the aromatic sauce was simply outstanding. If you're a fan of seafood, this dish is an absolute must-try.
Another highlight was the Orange shrimp. The tangy and slightly sweet orange glaze complemented the crispy shrimp perfectly. It was a delightful balance of flavors that left us craving for more. I highly recommend giving it a try.
Moving on to the hot noodles spicy lamb soup, it was a bowl of pure comfort. The rich and flavorful broth was infused with aromatic spices, and the tender lamb added a delicious depth to the dish. It was the perfect remedy for a chilly day and left us feeling satisfied and warm.
The beef soup with noodles was another standout dish. The tender beef slices combined with the savory broth and perfectly cooked noodles created a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. It was a hearty and filling option that left us impressed.
I must commend the portion sizes at Ma's House. Despite ordering a variety of dishes, we left feeling completely satisfied. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the attention to detail in the preparation was commendable.
The service at Ma's House was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided helpful recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent.
Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Ma's House to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Chinese dining experience. With their delectable dishes, warm hospitality, and cozy atmosphere, Ma's House deserves a perfect rating of 10/10. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their...
Read moreFirst of all, I don’t usually write reviews but I have to for this one! The experience was just bad. It was my first time visiting San Diego so I did a extended research to find places to eats. I saw this Ma’s House and thought why not give it a try. We went there and the person serving us was just rushing us and he seem to show favoritism. Moving on, we order and thought maybe the food will taste great, but to our surprise it was greasy, and lack flavor. Moreover, for a food causing more than 14 dollar we expect more flavor. Also, it was more than we can finish. But we decided to finish what we can. After that, we’re we paying and it totally us 70 dollar. That’s when my brother experienced something he never been experienced which was being told to tip. I was waiting at the car so didn’t get to listen but from what he told me, when he press skip “tip”the server told him what tipping was as if he didn’t know. So my brother told him “he know what tipping is.” So the server go on to say, “do you leave tip at the table?” My brother told him “no” and the server who has no right go on to said “don’t you know you’re supposed to tip and no one work for free.” Of course no one work for free. But was it necessary to said this? We usually tip if the food is good and the server was exceptional but in this case none of it applied and tipping is optional and we never experienced someone forcing us to tip like that. Wether we skip or not no one complains and said to leave a tip. I hope no one experienced it like we...
Read moreWe placed a phone order from Ma's House for lunch. We ordered mongolian beef, kung pao shrimp, a single order of white rice, and an order of spring rolls. Our food was ready when we arrived to pick it up and was still hor when we got home. The spring rolls were good. Nice and crispy. The mongolian beef had good flavor, but some pieces were a little chewy and some were very tender. There were no fillers, just beef and green onions. And they gave you quite a large amount, enough for probably 2 to 3 people. I was disappointed with the kung pao shrimp. The portion size was very generous, and it only contained shrimp, peanuts, and green onions with no fillers. It just lacked in flavor. The sauce was watery and had no real taste to it to me. And that's pretty much the only dish I order when I go out to a Chinese restaurant. So comparably it was the worst kung pao shrimp that I ever had, but it wasn't terrible. I give it a 6/10 and once again, they gave you tons of shrimp, and you could easily make two meals out of it. One thing that we really appreciated that a lot of restaurants don't do is that they did not close the container of spring rolls. They left it open so the steam could get out and the rolls remained crunchy. I gave them extra bonus points for that and their fast and friendly service. We propably will come back and try this place again. Since we've been trying to find a decent Chinese place in Clairemont ever since Panda...
