I recently had a deeply distressing experience at the Mira Mesa McDonald's that has left me with no choice but to leave this negative review. I visited this location with three female friends to enjoy a meal inside, but our visit quickly turned into a nightmare due to the presence of two homeless individuals.
First, a visibly drugged-out homeless man entered the restaurant, loudly asking customers for money and causing a significant disturbance. Just as we thought the situation couldn't get worse, another homeless man, who didn't purchase anything, lingered inside for over ten minutes. This second individual was particularly alarming; he was being extremely creepy, staring intently at my friends and nearby families with children. Despite our repeated requests for him to leave, he continued to hover uncomfortably close to us, making us feel unsafe and forcing us to leave prematurely.
The most upsetting part of this ordeal was the reaction of the management. When I called to report the incident, the manager was completely unprofessional and dismissive. She screamed at me, saying, "Sorry I can’t go out there, he’s outside," despite the fact that the man was still inside the restaurant, clearly visible from the parking lot where we were. Rather than addressing the issue or showing any concern for our safety, she simply put the phone down and left the line open, deliberately ignoring me.
This location clearly has serious issues with customer safety and management's attitude towards addressing these problems. I would strongly advise against visiting this McDonald's until they can ensure a safer and more respectful environment for...
Read moreIf you go here, avoid night time - even 11-12. Staff often lock the dining room doors early because of the large groups of speed racers that hang out in the parking lot-- despite that the place is supposed to be open - because they're afraid, according to one staff member. While I support employee safety, this location should have an easily seen sign stating that they may randomly be closed, and that dining room is only open 24 hours if they feel like it.
UPDATE: I thought I'd try the 2-for-$5 deal today with their Big Macs. Big Mistake. McD burgers are suffering the same fate of all the other burger chains: patties so thin they're like cardboard. But at least In-N-Out patties still taste okay. Not so for Big Macs.
The patties were dry and for the first time since I first had a McDs burger (long ago), had absolutely no taste. Even though I combined both sandwiches into one (4 patties), this was the absolute worst McDonald's burger I have ever had, in both Canada and the USA. A huge disappointment, and it tasted like the patties had been sitting around for a while, despite that it took nearly 15 minutes at an only mildly-busy location. If I could give 0...
Read moreI went there more than five times as trying to give them a chance to improve their performance. The manager didn't train other member how to enter the coupon code when we got it from survey, so you can't place the order, and have to drive to the pick up windows only to buy it directly from manager. Sometimes, they said that McDonald promotion are not applied at their place. What a bummer! While I can use the same receipt at the other places. Sometime they didn't give the receipt that hs a zoo discount or any good promotion by saying simply rest we don't have a receipt. Last visit, recently, saying that I can't use the coupon code that I got from Mc Donald survey system as this is private franchise, the Philippino lady spoke to me and not allow me to use the discount code which I always had it from the survey. Two times, they gave the burger with already opened by other, and no meat inside, it is really disgusting. If they have zero star, I would give. I normally do bot complain to sny restaurants at all, you can check my name for all the review. If I complain, that is the...
