Read moreIt's not the food that validates the authenticity of this Lebanese restaurant. It's the unforgivingly rude front end staff. Is it a language barrier or just plain Bad Manners? From the overly tip hungry valet who insist I need my delivery car parked or directed by yelling at me or the cashier who hands me the wrong order then smacks it out of my hands without apology but also from the waitress who seems to have had her smile surgically removed add she pushes her way through because there is no waiting area. This place is so incredibly small (like my expectations)with little ventilation on one of the busiest streets in San Diego where there's absolutely no parking to make things worse. I've been there many times as a customer and as a delivery driver. I'm there many times a day, the attitude is just as terrible as their organization skills. Unless you speak Arabic then you won't be acknowledged promptly.
It's the only place I've ever been to where the vibe ruined the food. They seemed to have forgotten that I'm a guest in their restaurant because they're guests in the my LGBT community.
So bring low expectations, tons of Cash and a bad attitude Lebanon Style! (Low...
Read moreIt's hard to find really delicious meals when you're visiting from out of town, and after striking out a couple times, we were thrilled to find this gem for a takeout order. We got the chicken shawarma wrap, chicken feta wrap, chicken shawarma plate, and a falafel plate. I always say you can judge a Mediterranean place by its falafel, and this falafel was top-notch. It was crispy on the outside, just the right texture on the inside, not too greasy, and very flavorful. The shawarma wraps were very tasty and authentic (with Mediterranean style pickles and garlic sauce inside). The salad was super flavorful with a fresh lemon dressing and great spices. I really enjoyed the fried cauliflower side dish and my mom really liked her lentil soup. Even my picky toddler liked her chicken feta wrap. It's a tiny place, so ambience isn't its main selling point, but rather the food, which is fabulous. Hot tip: great takeout meal to grab after a...
